"And the LORD said unto me, A 2011 conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers. Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them. Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble" (Jer 11:9-12, KJV).

THE RSV USES "REVOLT" in the place of "conspiracy." "Conspiracy" suggests

political action, whereas the reference is to "revolt against the commands of God." Put into today's setting, both "revolt" and "conspiracy" harmonize; we can interpret them from within the context of political as well as religious factors.

Because America (e.g., political/religious camps) has revolted, rebelled, made REVOLUTION against the Most High God, God is now revolting, rebelling, making REVOLUTION against them. He is using the political camp to punish this nation for its backslidings.

Most people of this nation "refuse to hear My (His) Words" (v. 10).

The "utopia" that America has been, for countless souls, has now turned into a NIGHTMARE!! The honeymoon is over, folks. OVER!

"Everything belongs together in the human understanding; the obscurity of one idea spreads over those that surround it. An error throws shadows over neighboring truths, and if it happens that there should be in society men interested in forming, as it were, centers of shadow, even the people will find itself plunged into a profound darkness" (Diderot, Encyclopedie).

Since the beginning of time, men have had sweet dreams of utopias and hellish nightmares, been organized and disorganized, enlightened and dumbed down. The phrase "vanity of vanities...all is vanity" (Eccl 1:2) describes man's condition (without God) very well. This preacher uses "rhetorical flair in writing": "one generation passeth away, and another generation cometh...the sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down...the wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north...all the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full..." (vv. 4-7) etc. etc. The same principle applies to "the obscurity of one idea spreads over those that surround it." Men have their ideas, their revolutions, their restorations...in their "reasons and times," and without God they are all meaningless.

The preacher in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 speaks of everything as being under inexorable law: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace."

Joachim, Dante's Intellectual Mentor

MELVIN J. LASKY, in his Utopia and Revolution, writes, "...there is yet another ancient route to the new world of politics, and although it may be as long as a transatlantic voyage, our map would be full of blank spaces if we did not mark, at least in passing, the role of such adventurous souls as Dante and Joachim...in the formation of the modern utopian and revolutionary spirit" (p. 18).

Reading up on Joachim of Flora, I want to present my readers with some of Joachim's and Dante's ideas of "utopias" and "revolution":

"1. The Evil. The present state of earthly affairs is, from top to bottom, evil, sinful, and corrupt. 'We shall not be what we have been,' Joachim prophesied in his Psalter

  of Ten Strings, 'but we shall begin to be other' [Psalterium decem cordarum (1527), in Frank Manuel, 'Augustine and Joachim,' Shapes of Philosophical History (1965), p. 40].

2. The Resistance. The evil forces (as Joachim's followers came to insist) must be resisted and they shall be destroyed; and all will be subsequently converted to authentic principles.

3. The Decline. Things will get worse before they get better. An 'abomination of Desolation' leads to the Last Tranquility, and a terrible time of tribulation will precede the renovatio mundi. 'One thing we can say with certainty,' Joachim writes in his Exposition of the Apocalypse: 'the sixth age will be worse than the previous five ages, and the seventh age will be worse than the sixth, and both will be filled with the evil doings of the dragon of the Apocalypse' [Expositio in Apocalypsim (1527), in Gordon Leff, Heresy in the Later Middle Ages (1967), 1:72.

4. The Faithful. A small band of the faithful, the best of a new salvational generation, will serve as the heart of the resistance and the nucleus of an austere renewal, a reformacio, and the harbinger of a new communal era of universal love. 'They shall increase,' Joachim continues in his Exposition, and 'their fame shall be spread abroad; they

shall preach the faith and defend it until the consummation of the world.... They shall be an order of hermits living like angels, whose life shall be as a burning fire' [Expositio, in Reeves, Influence of Prophecy, p. 265].

5. The Doctrine. There is a true and everlasting general doctrine that can guide the remnant on the unique mission, the evangelium aeternum, an 'eternal gospel.' (Certain extreme doctrinal elements were officially condemned in 1215, and a leading scholar on Joachist ideas has written: 'Joachim's philosophy of history, it was now realized, constituted an incitement to subversive thought and action that was dangerously infectious. It is always beliefs which provide a basis for action that must be watched.') [Reeves, Influence of Prophecy, p. 62].

6. The Transition. The present age is only one of transition, a dramatic mid- passage, an untenable interim, a provisional moment in time. (Commenting on 'the expectation of the Kingdom of God on earth after the terror of the end,' one authority has noted: 'And wherever Joachist ideas led to communist-chiliastic movements, like the Taborites in Bohemia or the Anabaptists or Thomas Munzer in the Peasant Revolt, their pamphlets are filled with quotations and reflections on the Apocalypse.' And another has observed: 'A Joachimist view of history produced a mood somewhat akin to that of an early Marxist, a mood of certainty and urgency. The Spiritual Franciscan knew he was right because he had the clue to history; he could expect the imminent crisis confidently, since history was on his side.') [Freyhan, "Joachism and the English Apocalypse," 18:226. Reeves, Influence of Prophecy, p. 175].

7. The End."

 Whatever one thinks of the above 7 points is up to them, but he saw both "utopia" and "revolution" as part of the human cycle of life.

Are we in the "transition" period which leads to "THE END"?

Well, living in America right now, we behold many terrifying (like living in TERROR) things transpiring.

Leninist Vision

[NOTE THE FOLLOWING section of quotes:] "AFTER WEEKS OF political wrangling, President Obama signed the debt limit compromise passed by both the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate into law on the afternoon of Aug. 2. By raising the debt ceiling, the new law will keep the U.S. from entering default and sending a shock through the global economy.

The measure was approved in the Senate earlier in the day by a vote of 74 to 26, easily passing the 60 votes required. Speaking in the White House Rose Garden after the vote, President Obama lauded the bill as 'an important first step' in creating a sound fiscal foundation for the U.S., and said that it avoids 'cutting too abruptly while the economy is still fragile."

·[Note these points about the decision:]

"[It] adds at least $7 trillion to our debt over the next 10 years. The deal purports to 'cut' $2.1 trillion, but the 'cut' is from a baseline that adds $10 trillion to the debt. This deal, even if all targets are met and the Super Committee wields its mandate results in a BEST case scenario of still adding more than $7 trillion more in debt over the next 10 years. That is sickening.

 [It] never, ever balances.

The Super Committee's mandate is to add $7 trillion in new debt. Let's be clear: $2.1 trillion in reductions off a nearly $10 trillion, 10-year debt is still more than $7 trillion in debt. The Super Committee limits the constitutional check of the filibuster by expediting passage of bills with a simple majority. The Super Committee is not precluded from any issue, therefore the filibuster could be rendered moot. In addition, the plan harms the possible passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment. Since the goal is never to balance, having the BBA as a 'trigger' ensures that the committee will simply report its $1.2 trillion deficit reduction plan and never move to a BBA vote.

It cuts too slowly. Even if you believe cutting $2.1 trillion out of $10 trillion is a good compromise, surely we can start cutting quickly, say $200 billion - $300 billion per year, right? Wrong. This plan so badly backloads the alleged savings that the cuts are simply meaningless. Why do we believe that the goal of $2.5 trillion over 10 years (that's an average of $250 billion per year) will EVER be met if the first two years cuts are $20 billion and $50 billion. There is simply no path in this bill even to the meager savings they are alleging will take place."

[NOTE ALSO:] "In a Washington Post-ABC News poll conducted this week, nearly three-quarters of Americans offered a negative word to describe how they viewed the budget negotiations. The top words were 'ridiculous,' 'disgusting' and 'stupid.' Overall, nearly three-quarters of Americans offered a negative word."

"Soft Revolution"

TO MAKE IT appear like America can still be that wonderful "utopia," in reality the government continues with its "soft revolution" against the masses. The government wants us to believe that everything they do is for the "GOOD of the PEOPLE"! HA! It is only GOOD for the International Bankers and those who are their whores. One radio talkshow host said, "You're being hoodwinked again."

He said today's politicians need to learn lessons from history to understand what Obama is doing, asserting that the term 'Leninist' better describes the president and his policies than Marxist.

"Lenin thought that a nation could only grow more prosperous when a nation is controlled by a vanguard and elite-a people who know better than you what to do with your property," he explained. "The Leninist elite would lead people to a world free of pain and poverty. There would be no more haves and have-nots or private property. Just boundless prosperity. All a nation had to do was transfer its entire wealth to Lenin's vanguard.

Americans rich will be poorer, America's poor will be poorer, America's middle class will be wiped out... But America's government will be more powerful than ever, as will the elected officials and their corrupt bureaucrats.

Taxes, Not Guns

WE'RE ALL FAMILIAR with armed revolution, but the U.S. government isn't using guns (yet!); it uses taxation and regulation. The government in reality is a THIEF.

Our radio host went on to state: "We have a government running record deficits, we have millions upon millions who are underemployed or, worse, unemployed; we have a socialized medical plan called Medicare Part A that will go bust in 2017; the United States has at least $50 trillion in unfunded obligations-all on account of policy makers like Obama who think that the redistribution of wealth makes a nation richer not poorer."

So, UTOPIA International Bankers and their hired whores; REVOLUTION = What is being done against America (and the world at large).

Dark Surmises of Terror

THERE HAVE BEEN those, including the Prophets of God, who wrote and spoke about and against terror and tyranny. We have such people still with us today: some belonging to the Christian camp; others, the political camp....warning, warning, warning.

Since America set about to make REVOLUTION against America's utopia, to smash her visionary dream of "FREEDOM for ALL," now this nation faces slavery, poverty, decay, DEATH! Many are torn between their secular faith in "nation" ("Humanist Socialism") and their transcendental faith in God that made true utopias possible.

Prophets vs. prophets

IT HAS COME to this: What Prophet/prophet do we believe? (I use the capital "P" for God's Prophets-those part of the True Church; the lowercase "p" for false prophets-those both in the so-called "Church" and State.) This dilemma was in the days of ancient Israel: God's Prophets speaking for Him; kings' (backslid ones) prophets speaking for them. But God tells His Prophets that the false prophet spoke out of the deceit of his own heart, therefore they misled the people...into DESTRUCTION.

America's happy hours of "Golden Time" have passed, dear ones-PASSED. This nation has turned its back on God; God will turn His back on us

The annals of "utopian longing," like the history of human ideals in general, are replete with which one to please God, or man? Is it the "hereafter utopia" (e.g., "Heaven") or the "here-and-now utopia" (in the sense of what pleases the person)?

If the Christian Community relies upon the secular government, we risk the WRATH of God coming upon us. When Christians were relying upon God (in bygone days), the secular government followed Godly principles more closely. Reverse this, and it = the State becomes lawless and is tyranny! Such it is at the time of this writing.

Be Warned!

DR. DIETRICH BONHOEFFER (an opponent of Hitler's Third Reich) once said, "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil! God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act." So, in a free society that is increasingly secular (like America), THE TOLERANCE OF SIN LEADS TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF SIN AND CULMINATES IN THE CONQUEST BY SIN! This is the ("transition") period we're in from Godliness to godlessness. Socialist/Communist "cell groups" are interwoven into the fabric of America...waiting for their "Golden Time" to RULE! They already have their belated bureaucratic blueprints for TAKEOVER...for a "better society"-without God!! This will be their "utopianism," but our "nightmare."

God: Behind It All

MANY COMPLAIN THAT I scare people with what I write. Well, I wish I could SCARE THE HELL OUT OF THEM!!! People, both Christian and secular, get perturbed at me for suggesting that God would bring EVIL upon people. "Not the 'God of love!"" they rant. Sorry! The Bible is full of such passages about God bringing "EVIL" (Heb. ra) against people-including His own! Allow me to quote one such passage here: "O Assyrian, THE ROD OF MINE ANGER, and THE STAFF IN THEIR HAND IS MINE INDIGNATION. I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against THE PEOPLE OF MY WRATH will I give him a charge, TO TAKE THE SPOIL, AND TO TAKE THE PREY, AND TO TREAD THEM DOWN LIKE THE MIRE OF THE STREETS" (Isa 10:5-6, KJV). [For more on Isaiah 10, see General Jim's article, "Two Edged Sword."]

That, my dear readers, is the same God (in the OT) as today (in the NT).

Take closer note of the above verses: "The Lord may stretch out his hand in anger, but the anger achieves its actual effects thru human channels, for example, the Assyrians (and at other times, the Babylonians, the Romans, and so on)."

"Isaiah 10:1-4 marks the 'transition' from the presentation of past events illustrating the SINS and punishments of Ephraim, to the present condition and threatened doom of Judah, 'My people' (v. 2)." May I repeat what I've said in other articles: WILL WE EVER LEARN FROM HISTORY? I mean, look at the past nations that grew wealthy, proud, rebellious-see their end? Look at the nations that have tried to force Socialism/Communism upon the people who did not believe in it nor wanted it. Look at the sorry WORLDWIDE MESSES, the PATHETIC state of affairs, the MILLIONS who died because they refused to "believe" in Socialism/ Communism. And here we are, the current U.S. administration trying to take America under this satanic, iconoclastic, flagitious, MISOTHEIST (GOD-HATING) system! e

My point is, this is what Judah was guilty of-she saw the 10 northern tribes of Israel taken away by the Assyrians, BUT SHE, JUDAH/JERUSALEM, CONTINUED IN THE SAME SINS AS HAD HER NORTHERN BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

If we go back to Isaiah 5:20, we read, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Hummm...that sounds exactly like AMERICA!-the DEPRAVITY of those religious/political perverts who no longer make moral distinctions.

"Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight" (v. 21). "The pride of self-sufficient reason which denies any need of understanding given by God is a recurrent theme in Scripture" (see Isa 28:9-13; 29:14; 31:1-2; Jer 9:23; Prov 1:7; 1 Cor 1:18-25; et al.).

"Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink" (v. 22). I might add to this: drugs (legal or illegal), sex, food worship, etc., etc. "With striking irony," Isaiah pictures the drunken, the prideful, and the foolish as all boasting "under the influence"-bibulous backsliders.

Avenging Army

God now sends the Assyrian Army, years later, to punish Judah as He did Ephraim.

God uses the king of Assyria and his army to carry out the sentence which has been pronounced against Judah. "But as the 'rod' with which a master chastises his servant is unconscious that it is but an instrument, so the Assyrian is unaware of the overruling divine purpose which his conquests serve. He becomes drunken (on power/victory) and presumes not only to bestride the world in pride but to assert that the God of Israel is a helpless idol like all the rest."

Well said. But, be it known unto such FOOLS, like Assyria here as our example, that when they have served God's purposes as the "rod(s)," the "rod(s)" will suffer the penalty of their impiety and arrogance and, dear ones, it will be made clear WHO it is that determines the course of history.

Proud and Boastful

IN THE COURSE of history, there are the dreamers and doers; dreamers also can be the doers, like the king of Assyria who had it "in his heart ['mind,' RSV] to destroy and cut off nations not a few" (Isa 10:7). Although it was God who overshadowed him, he thought it was his greatness. (The unbridled LUST for CONQUEST is used and limited by Yahweh/God, and eventually itself comes under His judgment.) This PROUD and BOASTFUL monarch boasts of the vassal kings he has conquered, and of the helplessness of their gods (vv. 8-11). But God, who controls history, oversees just how far things can go.

The "Assyrian tide" ("waters" are used in Scripture, such as floods, to = invading armies) had risen and receded many times; and now (during Sennacherib's invasion in 701 B.C.) it was lapping the walls of Jerusalem: "Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria (of the northern capital) and her idols, so do to Jerusalem (capital of southern tribes) and her idols?" boasted the king (v. 11).

After all, the "images" (RSV) of Samaria did not save her. Better wake up, dear Americans: God will NOT SAVE YOU from what is coming, for all your gods/images will be helpless in JUDGMENT. I promise you this.

We all know the story here: The Assyrian king was turned back by God; Jerusalem was spared...for a short time, in order that she would rid herself of her idols, her gods, her SINS, the very SINS that provoked God's WRATH, FURY, and INDIGNATION.

Once again, YAHWEH is both the God of wrath (allowing the 10 northern tribes to be OVERCOME and DEFEATED) and the God of mercy, for He overrules the FORCES of history to fulfill His purposes.

The Immanence of God

GOD WARNED Judah by sending the Assyrian army to Jerusalem as He did to Samaria (for her destruction). And because of the Assyrian king's boastful attitude, God withdrew Assyria. But because Judah refused to learn from the past, God eventually sent the Babylonians to be His weapon of war against her. I've already written about all that.

My point is this: God is the God of history, for good or evil. I know our liberal, backslid, hypocritical, recreant opposites don't see it this way. That's because the truth on this is only clear to those who actually read their Bible.

Romantic Humanitarianism

I THINK THOSE two words pretty well sum up what liberal theology is. This is not new to the 20th and 21st centuries either. "Romantic Humanitarianism" has been around for a long time.

Modernism/Liberalism and (true) fundamentalism/orthodoxy go in opposite directions. The liberal Adolph Harnack, in his book (written in German) called Das Wesen des Christentums (English: The Essence of Christianity, 1899-1900), says that the Gospel "contains something which, under differing historical forms, is of permanent validity." What this Berlin professor meant was that "behind the metamorphoses of Christianity, the changing formulations and expectations, the altering ways of feeling, behind even the form of the NT witness, there is that which is, as he said, 'really classical and valid for all time." (He's talking here in "tolerance" terms.) Harnack warns his readers that "we must not stumble over such matters as miracles, or belief in demons, or the apocalyptic element [i.e., the belief that the catastrophic end of the world is near]." Well, I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, IN DEMONS, AND THAT THE END WILL COME (though I have no idea when). And, by the way, the Gospel itself has NEVER changed, though men who've claimed the name "Christian" have not always lived true to it (especially in its entirety). Furthermore, we are not meant to judge the Gospel as a thing that has "differing historical forms" just because men have, throughout history, refused to live by all its simple tenets.

It is fair to say that Harnack was not a fully typical example of Protestant Liberalism, just as it is fair to say that Brian McLaren does not fully represent those within the Emergent Church. McLaren is the extreme. But I will note this: "Central among the presuppositions, or informing principles, of liberal Protestantism is the 'liberal spirit'-the spirit of 'open-mindedness,' of 'tolerance' [especially of HOMOSEXUALITY and other ANTI-CHRISTIAN religions, etc.], of pride." Of course, this "spirit" is not simply traced back to the mere 20th century. Now to my point of IMMANENCE

This doctrine of immanence can be seen most clearly in the understanding of the way in which God works in the world. Isaiah 45:6-7 states, "...that men may know from the east and the rising of the sun and from the west and the setting of the sun that there is no God besides Me. I am the Lord, and no one else [is He]. I form the light and create darkness, I make peace [national well-being] and I create [physical] evil (calamity); I am the Lord, Who does all these things."

"Good" verses "evil"-all under God's superintendence. God is not one who, existing wholly apart from the world, acts only occasionally, or simply interrupts the national order once in a while in effecting His will. His providence, my friends, is the guidance and overseeing of the WHOLE process by His presence within ALL the processes of nature. As one professor of Historical Theology said, "If God appears periodically, He disappears periodically. If He comes upon the scene at special crises, He is absent from the scene in the intervals." Many "Christians" believe that God is totally outside the affairs of men. Well, these folks have never cracked their Bibles! Others, as already stated, believe in an occasionally governing God, while those who read their Bibles believe in an ALL-Governing God (not that He removes our "free will" from us, but that He oversees all things-applying judgment when needed, and mercy when needed-punishing us for choosing sin, and rewarding us for choosing righteousness). For sure, the idea of an immanent God unnerves some.

In effect, "immanence" according to "liberal" doctrine involves the breaching of the orthodox/traditional distinction between the natural and supernatural (miraculous). As one professor put it in one of his speeches, "Miracle is only the religious name for event. Every event, even the most natural and common, is a miracle if it lends itself to a controllingly religious interpretation. To me all is miracle" (Friedrich Schleiermacher, Speeches on Religion, London, 1893). Now, if this were true, Jesus would not have made a distinction between natural events and those "signs" that He was performing by the power of the Spirit and direction of the Father to prove His Messiahship. Clearly, in truth, there is a distinction between what we generally call "natural" and those very "unnatural" MIRACULOUS EVENTS that are wrought by the Father.

Current Events

GOD IS, AT this present time, overseeing current events. What is transpiring here in America is the result of America's backsliding. I wholly believe this. And if this nation does not REPENT, things will worsen. God has told us this many times. One has to be blind (spiritually) not to perceive what I'm writing.

If one has perception, one sees events as good or evil because he/she apprehends the LORD working there or not working there, whether we speak of "ordinary and well-known natural processes" or MIRACULOUS EVENTS.

Another point is this: God is not equally revealed or perceived everywhere, for there are those who can't understand the presence of God because of sin or some other reason. Moreover, because God is "immanent," revelation comes from within (as Christ reveals it to us); indeed, forces of nature (wrathful ones) can be both seen and perceived by the natural man, but so few have eyes within (to truly understand).

Listen to what St. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:13-14"...which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man

receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." At the end of this article, I want to present an expanded view of the above verses (see section called "Three Kinds of People" from The Full Life Study Bible below).

Divine vs. Human

HEREIN LIES THE world's problem. Marxists believe not in Christ or the supernatural, but in man or what they consider "the natural."

God is GOD; man is not God, but has God's image (although marred by sin!). Man's humanness contains both reason and conscience, therefore man is essentially and definitely capable of conforming to the will of God.

As the spiritual man is opposed to the natural man, the Church (as the "sphere of divine redemptive activity") came to be distinct from the world (which still lies in darkness-see 1 Pet 2:9; Col 1:13; 2 Cor 6:14; et al.).

Since we have been delivered from darkness (from living in sin), it is really STUPID for Christians to play around with sin.

You see, God does not treat us humans as "things," mechanically speaking, but as persons. Since we were given a will to choose right or wrong (fallen man still knows right from wrong because of his/her conscience), God, our Creator, respects human freedom and lets us choose without forcing us. We can complain, but this is true God allows man to act upon his/her FREEDOM OF CHOICE. But from the historical accounts of things, both the Biblical and secular accounts, we see that man mainly chooses to do things that are TERRIBLE and HARMFUL. God oversees all this, too.

Our liberal churchfolks believe that God is "love, mercy, compassion, etc."...and He is...but He also, out of those same attributes/characteristics, uses chastisements and punishments. God is the Divine Father who ever seeks the good of and for His children (children in the sense of being created by Him: the "saved" are His "redeemed" children; the "lost" are His "unredeemed" children).

Our liberal churchites refuse to believe that God's punishments are ever retributive or vengeful, but must always be "corrective." This "corrective" view is only half-true. God's punishments for His "saved" children are "corrective" (read Heb 12:5-11 for clarification); His "chastenings" are our assurance of His "love" for us. But His punishments upon the backslidden/apostates and the lost are retributive (and, in the big picture, for redemption of those who will cry out).

"HELL NO!" is the reply from our liberal churchites concerning the fate of the unredeemed "God would never send anyone to Hell!" they scream. Well, these liberal folks are self-deceivers: God has and will allow the sinner to choose his/her final home-Heaven, or Hell (write for our 5 FREE Hell booklets). While it is true that Jesus died for the (whole) world (mankind), not all will choose Him or salvation; thus, HELL will be their final abode. No way around this-NO WAY!! Apostates like Brian McLaren will go to the very fiery furnace he laughs at.

The LORD God seeks the salvation of ALL men, that all would be saved (from eternal DAMNATION/SEPARATION from God's love); yet He does not impose His Will arbitrarily (generally speaking) upon them. He would that ALL men would come to repentance, but He does not deny their freedom to resist His Will.

There are those who teach "predestination" and "irresistible grace" (meaning some are saved and some are damned-man has NO CHOICE in this matter), but this is not true whatsoever. This false teaching must be given up as "heretical," for this teaching violates human personality and contradicts our highest insight into the character of God. God has no puppets in this sense. Imagine an atheist being forced into eternal bliss; imagine a sincere seeker of Heaven being denied Heaven and destined and delivered to the flames of HELL!!

So?

WHO DO WE obey: God, or government? This question is at the center of the fundamentalist vs. liberalism question pertaining to the authority and inspiration of the Bible. I have no problem in deciding who to obey and serve. When government plays the role of God-which the U.S. government is now doing-we had better choose GOD!! And don't bother me with "the Bible contains errors." I won't ever believe that the "original autographs" contained mistakes, errors and contradictions. Since God created the world out of nothing and created man to fellowship Him, it goes without saying that He was capable of speaking to those who wrote down His Words and help them to do it WITHOUT ERROR!

I do not deny that the Bible contains certain minor errors by the processes of transmission of the Scriptures, but no such concession can be made regarding the "original autographs." I don't need to see them for me to believe this (note: there are no original Scriptures; we have originals off the originals).

This is the BIG gripe with the babified Emergent Churchites-they don't trust the Bible. Well, I'll ask them: "Which Scriptures are inspired/infallible and which are not?" There is enough TRUTH contained in what we do have to make Heaven and bypass Hell. What we do have is reliable and authoritative. Heretic McLaren and Tickle want the Bible DESTROYED! Too bad. It will never be destroyed. They just have a BIG GRIPE that it still points out and condemns their SINS!

Back to "UTOPIA" / "REVOLUTION"

AT THE FUNERAL of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels gave the oration, in which he had no more to say than "So war dieser mann der wissenschaft!" ("So was this man of science!"). Marx's goal in life was to dethrone God. Sorry about that, buddy: GOD LIVES AND RULES!! Engels argued that Marx, like Darwin and his discovery of the great laws of organic evolution, had revealed the essential pattern of historic change. And, guess who uses the word "change"? COMRADE OBAMA "Change you can believe in." HA! This is pure Commie propaganda. Now Americans are beginning to see what COMRADE OBAMA means about "change": this "change," dear ones, is THE TRANSITION FROM FREEDOM TO SLAVERY...but most Americans are too DULL and DUMB to catch it! It matters not; you'll feel it!

Nietzsche had once referred to the French Revolution as the daughter of Christianity; Spengler thought he recognized Christianity as the grandfather of Bolshevism. I've got news for them: Biblical Christianity is and will always be opposed to violence as such-our weapons of our warfare are not the "sword of steel" but the "Sword of the Spirit."  THREE KINDS OF PEOPLE

1 Cor. 2:14-15 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man."

BASIC DIVISION. Scripture normally divides all humans into two classes. (1) The natural man/woman (Gk. psuchikos, 1 Cor. 2:14) identifies the unregenerated or fleshly person, i.e., one governed by mere natural instincts (2 Pet. 2:12). This kind of person does not have the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:9), is under the dominion of satan (Acts 26:18), and is enslaved to the body and its passions (Eph. 2:3). He belongs to the world, is in sympathy with it (Jas. 4:4), and rejects the things of the Spirit (1 Cor. 2:14). The natural person is not able to understand God and His ways, but instead relies on human reasoning or emotions.

(2) The spiritual man/woman (Gk. pneumatikos, 1 Cor. 2:15; 3:1) identifies the regenerated person, i.e., one who has the Holy Spirit. This person is spiritually minded, thinks the thoughts of God (1 Cor. 2:11-13), and lives by the Spirit of God (Rom. 8:4-17; Gal. 5:16-26). Such an individual believes in Jesus Christ, endeavors to follow the leading of the indwelling Spirit, and resists sensual desires and the dominion of sin (Rom. 8:13-14).

How does one become a spiritual man/woman? When a person accepts by faith the salvation provided through Christ, he is regenerated; the Holy Spirit imparts to him or her a new nature by an infusion of divine life (2 Pet. 1:4). He is born again (John 3:3,5,7), renewed (Rom. 12:2), made a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17), and receives God's righteousness through faith in Christ (Phil. 3:9).

FURTHER DISTINCTION AMONG CHRISTIANS.

Although born-again believers receive the new life of the Spirit, they retain the sinful nature with its evil inclinations (Gal. 5:16-21). The sinful nature that remains in them cannot be made good; it must be put to death and overcome through the power and grace of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:13). They accomplish this by denying themselves daily (Matt. 16:24; Rom. 8:12-13; Tit. 2:12), removing every hindrance or sin (Heb. 12:1), and resisting all sinful inclinations (Rom. 13:14; Gal. 5:16; 1 Pet. 2:11). Believers themselves, by the power of the Spirit, must wage war against the sinful nature (Rom. 8:13-14; Gal. 5:16-18), crucify it (Gal. 5:24), and put it to death daily (Col. 3:5). By this process of self-denial and yielding to the Holy Spirit's sanctifying work, believers in Christ will experience liberation from the power of their sinful nature and live their lives as spiritual Christians (Rom. 6:13; Gal. 5:16).

Not all Christians put forth the required effort to fully overcome this sinful nature, however. In addressing the Corinthians, Paul notes (1 Cor. 3:1,3) that some of them were behaving in a carnal or fleshly way (Gk. sarkikos); that is, instead of consistently resisting the inclinations of their sinful nature, they yielded to at least some of them. Although they were not living in persistent disobedience, they were in the process of compromising with the world, the flesh, and the devil in some areas of their lives, while still wanting to remain a part of the people of God (10:21; 2 Cor. 6:14-18; 11:3; 13:5).

(1) The condition of carnal Christians.

Although carnality and rebellion were not the rule in their lives, nor had they entered into the serious immorality and unrighteousness that would separate them from the kingdom of God (see 1 Cor. 6:9-11; cf. Gal. 5:21; Eph. 5:5), they were behaving in such a way that they were no longer growing in grace and acting as if they were new converts who did not yet understand the full implication of salvation in Christ (1 Cor. 3:1-2). Their carnality was expressed in "envying, and strife" (3:3). They were indifferent to and tolerant of immorality within the church (5:1-13; 6:13-20). They did not take the Word of God or His apostle with utmost seriousness (4:18-19). They were going to law courts over trivial matters (6:8). However, it should be noted that the Corinthians who had entered into sexual immorality or other gross sins are considered by the apostle Paul as being excluded altogether from salvation in Christ (1 Cor. 5:1, 9-11; 6:9-10).

(2) The perils of carnal Christians.

The carnal Christians of Corinth were in danger of being led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ (2 Cor. 11:3) and being more and more conformed to the world (cf. 2 Cor. 6:14-18). Because of this, they would be chastened and judged by the Lord, and if they continued to conform to the world, they would ultimately be excluded from the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6:9-10; 11:31-32). In fact, spiritual death had already occurred for some of them who had committed flagrant sin heading to spiritual death (see 1 John 3:15; 5:17; cf. Rom. 8:13; 1 Cor. 5:5; 2 Cor. 12:21; 13:5).

(3) The warnings to carnal Christians.

(a) Carnal Christians must realize that they are in danger of departing from the faith if they are unwilling to cleanse themselves from all that displeases God (Rom. 6:14-16; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; 2 Cor. 11:3; Gal. 6:7-9; Jas. 1:12-16). (b) They must take warnings from the tragic example of the children of Israel whom God destroyed because of sin (1 Cor. 10:5-12). They must understand that it is impossible to partake of the things of the Lord and the things of satan at the same time (Matt. 6:24; 1 Cor. 10:21). (d) They must separate themselves completely from the world (2 Cor. 6:14-18) and purify themselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord (2 Cor. 7:1).

 

AGITPROPPY IN FRENCH means "agitation." In Communist terms it means "propaganda." An agitator is a person who tries to stir up people in support of a social cause, a political cause, even a religious cause.

True Christianity has many enemies; sadly, the Church (the compromising Church) has become its own enemy. If the pillars of the compromising Church fall, it is the "Christians" who will have been the cause thereof.

I do not believe that the pillars of God's TRUE Church will fall, for they are of wisdom, and we His followers will prove ourselves, by the help of God, valiant to the severest test to which the enemies of God will subject us.

While the recreant Church engages in activities inimical to the faithful, and while the U.S. Government propagates agitproppy, we will reject "Pink Baiting," and we will reject the false idea that Islam is a religion of peace and that Marxism is America's "savior." While America perpetuates U.S. global hegemony, we, as Heavenly citizens, will take Jesus to all the world. For it is JESUS and JESUS alone that will make the world a better place.

While many think America to be a festering stinkhole of racists, bigots, sexists, homophobes, heterophobes, Islamophobes and xenophobes, we, HIS people, will continue to WAGE THE SPIRITUAL WAR against SIN that holds men, women, boys and girls in its deadly grip.

Since it is all too true that many politicians and preachers have been brainwashed in all kinds of propaganda and anti-Christ diatribe and invectives, should it shock us that America is ripe with every kind of psychological weirdness known to man?

The long roster of "brainwashers" that participated in demoralizing and demonizing the 60's-2023's youth is a witness of great wickedness that can't be denied. As many rightly ask: Does it shock us that the U.S. Government operates mafia-style? Also: When America has a president that thrives on insulting Christianity and defaming God, when he flaunts his power in favor of homosexuals, Muslims, Socialists, New Agers and other wicked men, are we to believe that this man is a “good leader”?

It has been well said that we are all children (i.e., products) of the Revolution. Unfortunately, I happened to be an active participant in the "60's Revolution," and I have spent over 50 years of my life, as a Christian, speaking out against it and against the continuing revolution.

No matter where we look in America, we see signs of decadence and decay-all the result of the 60's! One writer states, "Wherever we look, in the office or at church, whatever professions we examine or traditions we cherish, we are hard pressed to discover a single significant aspect of human experience that has not been transformed by a perpetual revolution that has inverted all the ancient truths and turned all institutions upside down and against the purposes they originally served" (Thomas Fleming, Chronicles, 2010).

Addiction is drug/alcohol usage: Almost ALL Americans are on something, doing something, drinking something-the churches are no exception (including legal drugs or otherwise).

ILLICIT SEX, UN-BIBLICAL SEX LIKE LGBTQ PLUS IS A PLAGUE)! Any true Christian will contend for his or her faith, and that is the reason for this booklet.

Understand this: there is NO salvation in Islam! NONE! Yet Jesus Christ died for all and offers us the gift of eternal life in the Kingdom of God. By confessing our sins to God, repenting of them and turning from our sinful ways, asking forgiveness and receiving Jesus Christ into our lives by faith, we are assured eternal salvation.

COMPARING CHRISTIANITY TO ISLAM

I find it repulsive for Islam's Prophet Muhammad to claim he superseded Jesus Christ, the Christian's Prophet and Savior. It’s repulsive because Jesus Christ preached, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake." Matt. 5:5-11 KJV.

Again Jesus says in Matt. 5:38-39, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, but I say unto you, that ye resist not evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also." I find it very strange that God would abrogate the teachings of His Son and go back under the Old Testament way of doing things.

Jesus goes on in Matt. 5:43-44 saying, "Ye have heard that it hath been said, thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy, but I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you." My dear Muslim friends, which character is better and more God-like, that of Jesus or Muhammad? Do we find Islam practicing this kind of HIGHER spirituality? Unfortunately not. Please don't try to claim that it is only "Muslim fanatics" that practice violence, for Islam's very own prophet AND his successors taught (and still teach) hatred, revenge and murder! It seems just fine for Muslims to insult our Prophet, Jesus Christ, but a death sentence is issued against anyone who insults Muhammad. What kind of tolerance, love, mercy, freedom, justice and meekness is this? Islam not only proclaims death to non-Muslims who refuse to convert or submit, but also decrees the death sentence to apostates (those who turn from Islam). It is a well known fact (if one reads enough) that all Muslim scholars agree upon these points. They also avow that their Prophet both said and practiced these things and that they intend to follow in his footsteps. The Islamic scholars also teach that this is what all the Caliphs (Muhammad's successors) did after him.

Jesus never taught his disciples to kill their enemies nor kill apostates from Christianity. But Islam teaches/practices this even today. In Islam's "Bill of Legalistic Penalties" (pg. 12) it says, "A person guilty of apostasy (male/female) shall be put to DEATH if repentance is not made within the period allowed which shall not exceed 60 days." It goes a bit further and says, "Repentance of a person who commits apostasy more than twice shall not be accepted."

Islam is a religion of FEAR! On page 30 we read, "The ordained penalty for apostasy is based on the Surah. The prophet said, 'one who changes his/her faith is to be KILLED' (Al Bukhari)". Islam seems to be intrigued with DEATH! On the other hand, Jesus Christ taught LIFE, LIGHT, and LOVE! Where is the freedom in Islam that so many Muslims speak about? Without exception, all former scholars agree on depriving any person the freedom to change his/her religion once they have embraced Islam, and they invoke the DEATH PENALTY upon anyone who does.

The Imam Al-Shafi'i says, "If someone becomes a Muslim then apostatizes, he/she would be asked to repent, if they refuse, they should be KILLED". The Shafi'i is one of the four founders of the jurisprudence schools who have agreed that the apostate must be put to death.

Can you imagine killing someone of your faith community for not praying? Well, the most famous Ibn Timiyya, who is called Sheikh al- Islam, says, "The Muslim who does not pray must be ordered to pray; if he refuses to pray, he must be put to DEATH..." I could go on and on with quotes of Islamic scholars that have been supplied, but let us turn our attention to the "Offensive War of Islam"..

As one former Muslim (who escaped death) puts it, "How can Muslims deny the compulsion of force?" He tells us that more level- headed Muslims, who ignorantly believe that Islam respects a person's freedom, cite the Qur'anic phrase, "There is no compulsion in faith" to support their claim. These people do not know its meaning as it has been interpreted by Muslim scholars. As already stated, apostates must be KILLED, but in order to understand the meaning of the above quote, we would refer to the answers of both contemporary and former scholars of Islam.

This former Muslim goes on to relate about the "no compulsion in faith" claim. He tells us that the Sheikh Muhammad Mutawilli al- Sha'rawi, an Egyptian scholar, calls all Christians infidels and calls for their blood. In one of his books, "You Ask and Islam Answers", (pg. 52 of part 2) al-Sha'rawi writes, "Some ask: How does Islam say that there is no compulsion in faith, and yet it commands the KILLING of the apostate? We say to them: You are free to believe or not to believe, but once you embrace the faith (Islam) you are not free (anymore) and you should be bound to Islam, otherwise you will suffer punishment and the restrictions, among them is the KILLING of the apostate; that is, there is no compulsion in embracing the faith, but if you do, you are not free to relinquish it."

So my dear readers, which religion is best? Christianity or Islam? I know that God will deal with all mankind in the END of all matters, but we are not to KILL, we are to HEAL -to make peace between God and man.

On a personal note, my wife and I saw first hand in Kano, Nigeria, Muslims who turned to brigandage and brutality, leaving hundreds dead and dozens of churches and buildings ablaze. These marauding bands killed, burned and pillaged at will. Unfortunately, we also met with one particular Christian (?) leader the day after the rioting who had personally burned down a mosque. This scene has repeated itself dozens of times over in numerous countries since 1991. And I'm afraid that too often Christians(?) resort to violence, and occasionally even provoke it. But violence is not the way that is pleasing to God, for the Muslim nor the Christian (be they Catholic or Protestant). When Christians fall into violence, they violate the teachings of Jesus and they lower themselves to the same level as the Muslims. As ambassadors of Jesus we are supposed to show the world a higher way. Giving in to violent impulses and actions is not the higher way and it will definitely not bring lost souls to the saving knowledge of Christ.

OFFENSIVE WAR TO SPREAD ISLAM!

Muhammad and his successors initiated offensive wars against peaceful countries in order to impose Islam by force as well as to seize the abundance of these lands. Their objective was to capture women and children and to put an end to the poverty and hunger from which Arab Muslims suffered. So, Islam was imposed upon Syria, Jordan, Palestine (Jerusalem), Egypt, Libya, Iraq, Iran, all of North Africa, some parts of India and China, and later Spain.

Undoubtedly, the concept of an offensive war to spread the faith is a genuine Islamic concept; it is known as a Holy War for the sake of God. We will see that Muslim scholars have explicitly determined that this is the essence of Islam. They also indicate that if sufficient military power is available to Islamic countries, they ought to attack all other countries in order to force them to embrace Islam, or pay the poll tax and be subject to Islamic rule. Muhammad (as well as all the Caliphs who succeeded him) called for holy wars. All scholars and lawyers acknowledge that.

Those who say that the Islamic wars were always defensive do not understand Islam and have not read sufficient history. It should be evident that offensive wars to spread Islam are the heart of the entire religion of Islam. They embody the meaning of "Striving for the cause of God"-holy war to make the Word of God supreme over the whole world. Our study will be filled with objective quotes from the statements of scholars, along with a throng of true stories.

THE SAYINGS AND DEEDS OF MUHAMMAD AND HIS COMPANIONS

One of Muhammad's popular claims is that God commanded him to fight people until they become Muslims and carry out the ordinances of Islam. All Muslim scholars without exception agree on this. Muhammad said:

"I have been ordered by God to fight with people till they bear testimony to the fact that there is no God but Allah and that Mohammed is his messenger, and that they establish prayer and pay Zakat (money). If they do it, their blood and their property are safe from me" (see Bukhari Vol. I, p. 13).

Scholars understood this claim to mean the waging of offensive wars against unbelievers in order to force them to embrace Islam as individuals or communities. This is exactly what Muhammad himself did in carrying out God's commandment to him.

Azhar's Scholars in Egypt

In his book, "Jurisprudence in Muhammad's Biography", the Azhar scholar, Dr. Muhammad Sa'id Ramadan al-Buti says the following (page 134, 7th edition):

"The Holy War, as it is known in Islamic Jurisprudence, is basically an offensive war. This is the duty of Muslims in every age when the needed military power becomes available to them. This is the phase in which the meaning of Holy War has taken its final form. Thus the apostle of God said: 'I was commanded to fight the people until they believe in God and his message...

Dr. Buti deduces from Muhammad's statement that this is the concept of offensive war-this is Holy War as it is known in Islamic jurisprudence. Notice by his statement also that this matter is a duty incumbent on every Muslim in every age. The time will come when East and West, as well as politicians and military personnel all over the world will realize that the real military danger is the Islamic community. When the needed military power becomes available to them, they will wage wars and invade other countries!

Saudi Scholar In his book, "The Method of Islamic Law", Dr. Muhammad al-Amin clearly indicates:

"No infidel [unbeliever] should be left on his land as it is denoted from Muhammad's statement: 'I was commanded to fight the people...""

This claim by Muhammad and its generally-accepted meaning are recorded not only by these contemporary scholars in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but are also quoted in the following sources:

Almost all major Islamic references have quoted this statement because it is one of the most famous sayings of Muhammad which he followed and which he commanded his followers to implement.

 Many provocative and painful events were inflicted on individuals and tribes in the course of Muhammad's life. Muhammad, as we will see, used to exhort his followers:

"Invitation first (that is, call them first to embrace Islam). If they refuse, then war."

In other words, he told his followers not to kill anybody unless you first invite him to embrace Islam. Only if he rejects it, must he be killed. This is evident in the story of Abu Sufyan:

When Muhammad and his followers were about to attack Mecca to subjugate it to Islam, his adherents arrested Abu Sufyan, one of Mecca's inhabitants. They brought him to Muhammad. Muhammad told him: "Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to realize that there is no God but the only God?" Abu Sufyan answered: "I do believe that." Muhammad then said to him: "Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to know that I am the apostle of God?" Abu Sufyan answered: "By God, O Muhammad, of this there is no doubt in my soul." The 'Abbas who was present with Muhammad told Abu Sufyan: "Woe to you! Accept Islam and testify that Muhammad is the apostle of God before your neck is cut off by the sword." Thus he professed the faith of Islam and became a Muslim.

Al Road Al Anf, part 4, p. 90, by Al Sohaily

It is also mentioned and attested to by contemporary scholars such as Dr. Buti in his book, "The Jurisprudence of Muhammad's Biography", p. 277. He repeated it on page 287 because such stories incite the admiration of Dr. Buti and bring him joy. Yet Dr. Buti feels that some people will protest, especially liberals and the civilized international society, who believe that faith in a certain creed ought not to be imposed by the threat of death. Therefore, he said (p. 287) the following:

"It may be said, 'What is the value of a faith in Islam which is a result of a threat? Abu Sufyan, one moment ago, was not a believer, then he believed after he was threatened by death.' We say to those who question: 'What is required of an infidel or the one who confuses other gods with God, is to have his tongue surrender to the religion of God and to subdue himself to the prophethood of Muhammad. But his heartfelt faith is not required at the beginning. It will come later."

This is God in Islam, my dear friends-a God who is satisfied with the testimony of the tongue of a person who is under the threat of death. But "the heartfelt faith" will come later! The important thing is to increase the number of Muslims either by threat or by propagation!

Dr. Buti was more than frank, and we would like to thank him for that, yet we would like to tell him that Christianity rejects the testimony of the mouth if it does not stem from faith that is rooted in the heart first. In Christianity, a person has sufficient time to think quietly before he makes his decision, as the Gospel says:

"Let each be fully convinced in his own mind" (Rom. 14:5). God reveals His attitude in the Bible when He says: "My son, give me your heart" (Prov. 23:26).

When the Ethiopian eunuch expressed his desire to be baptized, the evangelist Philip told him:

"If you believe with all your heart, you may" (Acts 8:37). God even rebukes the people of Israel and says:

"These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me" (Isa. 29:13).

The story of Abu Sufyan reveals clearly that Muhammad does not care much about the faith of the heart, especially at the beginning, as Dr. Buti suggests. What is really important is that professing faith is a natural response to the threat of death. The threat is very clear: Testify that Muhammad is the apostle of God or you will be beheaded. The story concludes: Abu Sufyan professed the testimony of "truth" immediately!

In his book, "The Biography of the Apostle", part 4, Ibn Hisham says (page 134):

"Muhammad sent Khalid Ibn al-Walid to the tribe of the children of Haritha and told him: 'Call them to accept Islam before you fight with them. If they respond, accept that from them, but if they refuse, fight them.' Khalid told them: 'Accept Islam and spare your life.' They entered Islam by force. He brought them to Muhammad. Muhammad said to them: 'Had you not accepted Islam I would have cast your heads under your feet'" (refer to page 134, and also see Al Road Al Anf, part 4, pp. 217, 218. You will find the same incident).

We see in this story the main Islamic concept: First, an invitation to accept Islam, then war against those who refuse to do so. This was Muhammad's order to Khalid Ibn al-Walid. It is also noteworthy to examine Ibn Hisham's statement that "they entered Islam by force." Muhammad himself told them later: "Had you rejected Islam, I would have beheaded you and cast your heads under your feet." This was an undisputed threat: Either they accepted Islam or they would have been beheaded.

The brutal irony is that he uttered these words with ruthlessness and relentlessness instead of congratulating them on their new faith! What a strange man who failed to show any love or genuine compassion. His act was an act of a first-class terrorist. He did not congratulate them because he knew that they entered Islam by force. Is this man really the prophet of freedom, compassion, and human rights? Listen carefully! These oppressive attitudes and actions are as clear as the sun on a bright summer day. Muhammad's words are self-explanatory:

"Had you not accepted Islam I would have beheaded you and cast your heads under your feet!"

What human rights! What compassionate, kind, meek and noble character! Undoubtedly, this alone is enough to uncover the dreadful dark side of Muhammad's character and his religion.

Azhar scholar Dr. Buti adds on p. 263 of his book:

"The apostle of God started to send military detachments from among his followers to the various Arab tribes which were scattered in the Arab Peninsula to carry out the task of calling (these tribes) to accept Islam. If they did not respond, they would kill them. That was during the 7th Higira year. The number of the detachments amounted to ten.

Would God's help be sought, Oh Muhammad, to fight peaceful tribes whose only crime was that they could not believe that you are an apostle of God? Satan (not God) assists wicked people to commit these things!

No wonder all these tribes so quickly became apostate and relinquished Islam after the death of Muhammad. Abu Bakr Al Sadiq waged the aforementioned wars to force them to re-embrace Islam. Dr. Buti states this in chapter six of his book, under the title, "New Phase of the Mission". He quotes a statement made by Muhammad which proves that those wars were offensive wars. Muhammad said, "From now on, they will not invade you, but you will invade them."

Now let us see what Muhammad's followers did who implemented the same principle:

Ali Ibn Abi Talib

In his book, "The Biography of the Prophet" (part 3, p. 113), Ibn Hisham relates this episode:

"Ali Ibn Abi Talib encountered a man called 'Umru and told him, 'I indeed invite you to Islam.' 'Umru said, 'I do not need that.' Ali said, 'Then I call you to fight.' (This was the same policy Muhammad used with those who rejected his invitation.) 'Umru answered him, 'What for my nephew? By God, I do not like to kill you.' Ali said, 'But, by God, I love to kill you"" (see Al Road Al Anf part 3, p. 263).

It is obvious from the dialogue that 'Umru does not like fighting because he does not want to kill Ali while he is defending himself. He wonders, "What for? I do not want to embrace Islam." But Ali says to him, "By God I love to kill you," and he did kill him.

We would like to conclude these stories by relating another moving episode which the Muslim Chroniclers recorded, among them, Isma'il Ibn Kathir in his book, "The Prophetic Biography" (part 3, p. 596). Ibn Kathir says that Muhammad's followers met a man and asked him to become a Muslim. He asked them, "What is Islam?" They explained that to him. He said, "What if I refuse it? What would you do to me?" They answered, "We would kill you." Despite that, he refused to become a Muslim and they killed the poor man after he went and bade his wife farewell. She continued to weep over his corpse for days until she died of grief over her slain beloved who was killed for no reason.

Dr. 'Afifi Abdul-Fattah

On the cover of his famous book, "The Spirit of Islamic Religion," which was reprinted more than nine times, it says the following, "It has been revised by the committee of Azhar scholars with introductions made by the greatest Muslim professors and judges of Islamic legal courts."

On page 382 Dr. 'Afifi says:

"Islam has approved war so that the Word of God becomes supreme. This is war for the cause of God (Holy War). Muhammad, therefore, sent his ambassadors to eight kings and princes in the neighborhood of the Arab Peninsula to call them to embrace Islam. They rejected his call. Thus, it became incumbent on the Muslims to fight them."

On page 384, we read the following:

"Islamic law demands that before Muslims start fighting infidels (unbelievers), they first deliver the message of Islam to them. It was proven that the prophet never fought people before he called them to embrace Islam first. He used to command his generals to do so also."

Dr. 'Afifi (along with the Azhar scholars who revised his book) boasts that the prophet never fought anybody before he called them to Islam first! Those people fail to realize that basic human rights emphasize that when you call people to embrace any religion and they refuse to do so, you must leave them alone! You are not to fight them in order to force them to accept the new religion as Muhammad and his followers did.

We did not say that Muhammad did not call them to believe in Islam first. We acknowledge that, but we blame him because whenever they rejected his invitation, he fought and killed them. Is this human rights? Don't you understand, Dr. 'Afifi? Do Muhammad's teachings make you so blind that you fail to see that Islam violates the simplest principles of human rights? Do you not respect man's freedom to believe in whatever he wants? Muhammad had the right to call people to embrace Islam and to commission Khalid along with his followers to carry out this task; but he did not have the right to kill them if they refused to accept Islam.

Dr. 'Afifi says that eight kings and princes declined to accept Muhammad's mission; thus it was incumbent on the Muslims to fight them. We ask him: Why it was incumbent on them to fight those kings and princes? Is their refusal to accept Islam a reason for the Muslims to fight them? "Yes!" This is what all Muslim scholars say without exception.

Let the people of the West and of the East ponder these events which took place in the course of Islamic history and during the life of Muhammad and after his death. Beware, nations of the world, for any strong Islamic country would implement the same policy of war to obey God's order and his messenger!!

The Saudi Scholars

In his book, "The Methodology of Islamic Law", Dr. Muhammad al-Amin says (page 17):

"God had made it clear to us that (we should) call for acceptance of Islam first, then wage war.

It is not admissible to wage war before extending the invitation to embrace Islam first, as the Qur'an says. 'We verily sent our messenger with clear proofs and revealed to them the scripture and the balance, that mankind may observe right measure, and he revealed iron, wherein is mighty power and uses for mankind and that Allah (God) may know him who helps Him and his messengers-Allah is strong, Almighty" (Surah Iron 57:25). Thus, God's words are, "We sent down iron, which has powerful might", following His saying, "We have sent our apostles with signs." This denotes that if the signs and books fail, then unleash the sword against them, as the Muslim poet said, "The Book (Qur'an) offers guidance, and he who does not turn away (from evil) by the guidance of the book, He will be kept straight by the squadrons."

The reader may be confused and want to inquire about Muhammad's policy in spreading his mission. They may question his orders to his generals and his explicit attitude towards Abu Sufyan and say, "These attitudes prove to us that Islam forces people to accept it. The case is not only limited to ignoring people's freedom and confiscating their properties or sentencing the apostate to death, but it also calls for slaying whoever rejects Islam. What is the opinion of the scholar about that? Is force used as compulsion in accepting this religion?"

The Muslim scholars say, "Yes." There is compulsion used in accepting Islam, but this applies only to pagans and those who are irreligious. For Christians and Jews, the orders are to fight them and subject them to the ordinances of Islam, making them pay a poll-tax. In this case, they are spared death and are allowed to keep their faith. They are not forced to embrace Islam because they have three options-become Muslims, fight, or pay the poll-tax. The irreligious have two options only: death or Islam. This is what the Muslim scholars say, and the Qur'an itself teaches the same.

Ibn Hazm and al-Baydawi

In volume 8, part 11, on page 196, Ibn Hazm remarks decisively, "The prophet Muhammad did not accept from the Arab heathens less than Islam or the sword. This is compulsion of faith. No compulsion in faith (or religion) applies only to Christians or Jews because they are not to be forced to embrace the religion. They have the option either to embrace Islam, the sword, or to pay the poll-tax. In this case they can keep their own faith. It was truly said on the authority of the apostle of God that there is no compulsion in the faith.

"When the sacred months elapse, kill those who associate other gods with God, wherever you find them" (Surah 9:5).

The Imam al-Baydawi offers us (page 58 of his commentary) exactly the same interpretation.

Abu Bakr El Sadiq

In Al Road Al Anf (part 4, p. 240), Ibn Hisham indicates that Abu Bakr (the daily companion of Muhammad and among the first who believed in him) used to converse with Ibn Abu Rafi al-Ta'i and say to him:

"God-to whom belong the might and exaltation-has sent Muhammad with this religion for which he fought until people entered this religion by hook or by crook."

This phrase, I believe, is self-explanatory-"by crook"!

The Imam al-Shafi'i

In his famous book, "The Ordinances of Qur'an" (page 50 of the second part), the Shafi'i says:

"The apostle of God defeated the people until they entered Islam by hook or by crook."

Again we have this clear declaration-"by crook". This is what actually happened.

THE QUR'AN EXPOSES THE AGGRESSIVE NATURE OF ISLAM

The Qur'anic verses reveal to us the aggressive, hostile nature of the Islamic mission and of Muhammad. The Qur'an includes verses pertaining to fighting against infidels, as well as other verses related to Holy War against Christians and Jews.

Pertaining to the Infidels

"But when the sacred months elapse, then fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them and seize them, besiege them and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war). But if they repent and establish regular prayers, and practice regular charity, then open the way for them for Allah is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful" (Surah 9:5).

How did Muslim scholars and chroniclers interpret this verse in order to understand what Muhammad did after the conquest of Mecca and its occupation?

 The Jalalan

In this commentary, which was published by the Azhar in 1983 (page 153), the authors say decisively,

"The chapter of Repentance was revealed to raise the level of security which the infidels enjoyed because Muhammad had earlier made a covenant with them not to kill them. After that, this verse was given (9:5) in order to free God and Muhammad from any covenant with the infidels. It gives them four months in which they will be protected, but by the end of the four months (the end of the grace period), the order comes: Kill the infidels wherever you find them. Capture them, besiege them in their castles and fortresses until they are forced to accept Islam or be killed."

As you see, this verse was inspired in order to free Muhammad (and God) from any peaceful and protective covenant which Muhammad made with the people of Mecca, as if the covenant were shameful behavior from which Muhammad (and his God) must free themselves. Nothing remains after that except the pledge of war and massacre, as Ibn Hisham says later.

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya.

Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya's book was published in Saudi Arabia (second edition) in 1981. In part 5, p. 90, this famous scholar tells us the following:

"When the prophet migrated from Mecca to Medina, God ordered him to fight those who fought him only. Then when the chapter of Repentance was revealed, God commanded His prophet to fight anyone who did not become a Muslim from among the Arabs, whether (that person) fought him or not. He did not command him to take the poll-tax from infidels."

This means that Arabs did not have a choice. They either had to embrace Islam or die by the sword. It is obvious then that God (according to the above interpretation) had ordered His prophet to fight anyone from among the Arabs who refused to become a Muslim whether he fought against Muhammad or not. This is overt aggression and unjustified attack against peaceful people.

Ibn Hisham: - Al Sohaily

In his book, "al-Rawd al-Anaf" which is the most famous book about Muhammad's life (part 4, p. 194), we read the following text: "When Muhammad conquered Mecca and the Arabs realized that they were not able to wage war against Muhammad, they accepted the Islamic faith. But some of the infidels continued to be as they were. (They used to make pilgrimages also because this practice was in vogue among the people hundreds of years before Muhammad). Then suddenly Muhammad sent someone to announce to the Tribe of Quraysh that no pilgrimage would be allowed for the infidels after that year (9H); none would enter paradise unless he were a Muslim. Muhammad was going to give the infidels a respite for four months, and after that there would not be a covenant except the covenant of the sword and war (lit: piercing and the strike of the sword). After this period, people entered Islam by hook or by crook, and anyone who did not become a Muslim fled the Arabian Peninsula."

Ibn Hisham already quoted Muhammad's famous words: "No two religions are to exist in the Arab Peninsula" (pp. 50, 51).

Ibn Kathir, Al-Baydawi-al-Tabari (The Pillars of Islam)

Isma'il Ibn Kathir reiterates the above interpretation on page 336 of his commentary. He also asserts that this verse (9:5) is the verse of the sword which abrogated any previous covenant between the prophet and the infidels. On pp. 246 and 247, the Baydawi borrows Ibn Kathir's explanation and indicates to us the four months which were Shawal, Dhu al-Qu'da, Dhu al-Hijja and Muharram. The Baydawi adds that after the elapse of these four months, the infidels must be taken as prisoners lest they enter Mecca. In this case, they don't have any choice except either to embrace Islam or to be killed. Al Tabari said the same words and the same explanation on p. 206, 207 of his commentary dar-el-Sheroq. Dr. Muhammad Sa'id al-Buti

We would like to conclude our discussion about this verse by referring to the opinion of one of the most eminent scholars of Azhar and the Islamic world. In his book, "The Jurisprudence of the Biography", he says,

"The verse (9:5) does not leave any room in the mind to conjecture about what is called defensive war. This verse asserts that Holy War which is demanded in Islamic law, is not defensive war (as the Western students of Islam would like to tell us) because it could legitimately be an offensive war. That is the apex and most honorable of all Holy wars" (pp. 323, 324).

Dr. Sa'id, I wish that Westerners would actually believe your statement! I wish that Western people would drop any notion that Holy war is a defensive war! You really astonish me, though, because you regard the offensive war designed to spread the faith to be legal as if you had never heard of an agency in New York called the United Nations or anything about human rights. You even say that offensive war is "the apex and the most honorable Holy War" among all wars!

Pertaining to the People of the Book

Explicitly and shamelessly, the Qur'an declares (Chapter of Repentance, 9:29),

"Fight against those who have been given the scripture but believe not in Allah nor the last day, and who forbid not that which Allah has forbidden by His messenger, and who follow not the religion of truth, until they pay the tribute willingly, being brought into submission" (p. 182, English copy by Saudi Arabian scholars).

Muslim scholars have agreed on the interpretation of this. transparent verse by which all the Muslim warriors were guided in their offensive, violent wars against peaceful people.

The Baydawi

In his book, "The Lights of Revelation", a commentary on the Qur'an, he remarks,

"Fight Jews and Christians because they violated the origin of their faith and they do not believe in the religion of the truth, namely Islam, which abrogated all other religions. Fight them until they pay the poll-tax with submission and humiliation" (page 252).

The Tabari

On page 210, the Tabari declares in his commentary that this verse is referring in particular to the people of the Book and has direct relation to the preceding verse (9:28). He said that the reason for the revelation of this verse (9:29) was that God had prohibited infidels from coming to the mosque for pilgrimage any more. They used to come with food and to trade. Muslims said, "Then, where can we get food?" They were afraid of poverty; thus God gave this verse so that they could collect money (the poll-tax) from the people of the Book.

This same interpretation is also found in the Apostle" by Ibn Hisham (p. 104 in part 4), and in the Jalalan. The rest of the scholars agree upon this interpretation. I would like to quote here the text of the two verses (9:28-29) because they really complement each other. The Qur'an says:

"O ye who believe! Truly the pagans are unclean, so let them not approach the sacred Mosque after this year, and if ye fear poverty, soon will Allah enrich you (if He wills) out of His bounty for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise... fight against the people of the Book...." (to the end of verse 29).

The Tabari adds:

"The meaning of the Qur'anic statement: ... until they pay the poll-tax with submission and humiliation' (literally: to pay by hand and with forced submission) is that the Muslim will receive the tax imposed on Christians and Jews while he is sitting and they are standing. He will take it from their own hands since the Christian or the Jew should not send the money with a messenger but come himself and stand to pay it to the Muslim who will be sitting. The saying, 'with forced submission', also means with humiliation" (page 210).

The Jalalan (Al Suyti and 'Al Mahally)

On page 156, we find the same words and interpretation stated by the Tabari. Then he adds:

"The order to fight the people of the Book is because they do not prohibit what the apostle had forbidden such as wine."

Then he explains the humiliating procedure by which Christians have to pay the poll-tax-exactly as the Tabari described it.

Ibn Hisham Al Sohaily

In his book, "The Biography of the Apostle" (Al Road Al Anf, part 4, p. 201), Ibn Hisham repeats the above-mentioned quotation and adds,

"The poll-tax is to be paid by the Christian or the Jew forcibly and submissively. It is to spare their lives; that is, they pay it in lieu of being killed because if they did not pay it, they would be killed unless they intended to become Muslims, then they would be exempted from paying it."

The Shafi'i:

Lastly, we would like to refer to the Shafi'i's statement in his book, "The Ordinances of the Qur'an" (part 2, p. 50),

“The apostle of God killed and captured (many) of the people of the Book until some of them embraced Islam, and he imposed the poll-tax on some others.”

For God's sake, Muhammad! You killed and captured Jews and Christians, who believe in one God-the followers of Moses and Jesus-and forced them either to embrace Islam or to pay the poll-tax!

In the same book and part, the Shafi'i summarizes the entire situation, whether in relation to infidels or to the people of the Book. He says,

"From idolaters and those who associate other gods with God, the poll-tax is not to be accepted. Either they believe in Islam or be killed, but the people of the Book can pay the poll-tax with submission and humiliation whether they are Arabs or non-Arabs" (pp. 52,53).

The Shafi'i adds in the same source (pp. 62-64) saying, "When the people of Islam became strong enough, God revealed the chapter of Repentance and ordained the fight against the people of the book until they pay the poll-tax."

If the reader wonders why, I would remind him of what the Tabari and Ibn Hisham said-Muslims were afraid of poverty and they wanted to acquire properties and bounties. Thus the Qur'an explained, "If you fear poverty, soon will Allah enrich you if He wills, out of His bounty... Fight... the people of the Book... until they pay the poll-tax."

Isn't this the same as crimes committed by bandits and pirates? Yet, this is exactly what Muhammad used to do. On various occasions, Muhammad himself attacked the caravans (or he would order his followers to do so) to plunder them.

In short, Islamic law calls for the death penalty for apostates and forces peaceful infidels (unbelievers) either to accept Islam or be killed. If they are the people of the Book, they have a choice either to be killed, to become Muslims, or to pay the poll-tax in humiliation. Where are human rights? Where is respect for the individual's freedom to choose the faith he wants?

CONTEMPORARY MUSLIM SCHOLARS CONCUR ON THE PRINCIPLE OF OFFENSIVE WAR

In addition to the foregoing quotations, I would like to add some statements which may have more bearing for international readers. I will include many other declarations quoted from publications of the Liberation Party in Jerusalem as made by another Muslim scholar.

"The Jurisprudence of the Biography" by al-Buti (7th ed.) published by the Azhar in Egypt

This book was revised by Al Azhar, so it is accepted by all Muslims and is well-known all over the Islamic world. It deals with Muhammad's biography, interprets it and comments on the most famous events of his life. The author states (page 324) that the offensive war is legal. He literally uses these words,

"The concept of Holy War in Islam does not take into consideration whether (the war is) a defensive or an offensive war. Its goal is the exaltation of the Word of God and the construction of Islamic society and the establishment of God's Kingdom on Earth regardless of the means. The means would be offensive warfare. In this case it is the apex, the most noble Holy War. It is legal to carry on a Holy War." The implications are plain enough-there is no need for comment. Then he adds on p. 242,

"Defensive warfare in Islam is nothing but a phase of the Islamic mission which the prophet practiced. After that, it was followed by another phase; that is, calling all people to embrace Islam so that nothing less would be acceptable from atheists and those who associate other deities with God than that they embrace Islam. Also, nothing would be acceptable from the people of the Book except conversion to Islam or being subjugated to Muslim rule. In addition, there is the command to fight anyone who attempts to stand in its way. Now, after the domination of Islamic rule is in place, and its mission complete, it is meaningless (in regard to Holy War) to (talk about) defensive wars, as some of the researchers do. Otherwise, what does Muhammad's statement mean (as it is related by the Bukhari), 'They would not invade you, but you invade them'?"

It is obvious that defensive warfare was a temporary phase in Muhammad's strategy. After that, a second phase followed which was offensive war, a legal tool for holy war. In this phase, people were not left to enjoy their status quo, but were invaded and they suffered the horrors of the war, though they did not attempt to start a war or to invade the Muslims. It is as Muhammad said: "They will not invade you, but you are those who will invade them." Why? Is it an order to impose Islam on infidels or to kill them? Or (as is the case with the people of the Book) are they either to accept Islam, fight a war, or surrender and pay the poll-tax with humiliation?

This is an explicit declaration and Dr. Buti does not hide the truth. To the contrary, he boasts of it and asserts that it is wrong to regard Islamic wars as defensive wars. He insists that this is a false concept which some researchers have reiterated along with Western nations in order to halt the Islamic march.

Let the entire world listen to the opinion of one of the most famous Muslim scholars from the Azhar University as he demands the resumption of war to conquer the world. He says (pages 265 and 266),

"The concept by which the mission directed itself from the beginning of Muhammad's migration to Medina to the Hudaybiyya treaty, was simply a defensive phase of the plan. During this stage, the prophet did not initiate an attack or start an invasion, but after the treaty of Hudaybiyya, the prophet intended to enter a new, essential phase in accordance with Islamic law. This was the phase of fighting those who heard the message but arrogantly rejected it. This phase, by the act of Muhammad and his word, has become a legal decree, according to Muslims in every age until the day of resurrection!"

I wonder, "Why should Muhammad fight them? Is it because they rejected his faith that he should fight with them?" The Azhari scholar answers, "Yes, because they arrogantly refused to believe in him,, so he added this new stage of war, that is, the phase of fighting unbelievers. This came after the completion of the defensive period which followed the treaty of Hudaybiyya. It has become (according to Muslims) legal in every age until the day of resurrection."

Dr. Buti continues:

"...This is the concept which professional experts of thought attempt to conceal from the eyes of Muslims by claiming that anything that is related to a holy war in Islamic law is only based on defensive warfare to repel an attack" (page 266).

Many have thought as much, but it is obvious from this statement that defensive warfare is an attempt made by Western thinkers to hide from the eyes of Muslims the reality of offensive warfare. If we wonder why Western thinkers do that, Dr. Buti continuing ideal which will last to the day of resurrection. It is a plan in which it is incumbent on all Muslims to fight (in the cause of God) those who reject Islam. This concept started in the sixth year of the Hegira and continues to the present.

As Dr. Buti endeavors to justify the principle of offensive warfare, he remarks that offensive war is the most noble of all wars and the verses (chapter 9:29 and 9:5) do not leave any room in the imagination for defensive warfare. He addresses his readers,

"You may wonder now: Where is the wisdom of forcing infidels and their associates to embrace Islam? How could the mind set of the twentieth century understand such matters? The answer is: We wonder where the wisdom is when the state forces an individual to be subjugated to its system and philosophy despite the freedom he possesses? How can it be reasonable for the state to have the right to subjugate its citizens to the laws, principles, and ordinances it enacts, while the creator of all does not have the right to subjugate them to His authority and to convert them from every creed or faith to His religion?" (pages 266 and 267).

I would like to ask you, Dr. Sa'id El Buti, you who are a contemporary scholar at the Azhar University: How can people of the twentieth century understand and accept your logic of imposing a certain religion on a person with the death penalty as the only alternative? Would it not be more reasonable for Muslims to understand and accept the concept of human rights and the freedom to embrace the creed a person wishes to believe, in accordance with his conviction? We take into consideration your circumstances and we understand that you would be likely to defend Islam and the Qur'an. You would be likely to defend Muhammad's behavior, sayings, and all that his companions and successors did, but let me tell you that twentieth century thinking rejects your attitude.

On the other hand, who told you that the state and its rulers have the right to impose regulations and systems on their citizens as they wish? Don't you know that the people of modern countries in Europe and America vote on the constitution they feel is appropriate for them? They even elect their rulers as well as the people's assemblies, such as parliament. The people in these democratic countries have the authority to remove the leaders of the state if they fail to act in accordance with their constitutions which were established by free elections and public vote.

Maybe you are comparing yourself to the governments of underdeveloped countries (like most of the Arab and Islamic countries) which are characterized by the rule of one individual and are characterized by tyranny, terrorism and the neglect of human rights. Woe to the one who opposes the ruler or dares to change his Islamic religion! Some Islamic countries subject him to Islamic law and carry out the orders of Muhammad and his successors by sentencing him to death immediately. Other countries are content to put him in jail and torment him for a while.

Dr. Sa'id, what makes you think that God's character is similar to the character of the rulers of these tyrannical states? We pray that the time will come when there is freedom for evangelism and the preaching of the Gospel in the Arab world for the benefit of the Arab people-first and last.

God (the only eternal, true God) is not the one who exists in your mind or the one about whom Muhammad preached, but He is the God of love and freedom. He is the God of Christian revelation. The true God is not a God who demands that a poll-tax be paid to Muhammad, or a God of capturing women and children, or of slaughtering the men of peaceful towns if they do not become Muslims. Yours is an imaginary God who does not exist. The true God says,

"Let the one who thirsts, come. And the one who desires, let 5 him take the water of life freely" (Rev. 22: 17).

He also says,

"Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, "Come, buy and eat... let your soul delight itself in abundance" (Isa. 55:1-2).

Arab Scholars in Jerusalem

"The Book of the Islamic State" by Taqiy al-Din al-Nabahan was published in 1953. It encapsulates the entire issue in simple, plain style and with explicitly few words. It will suffice to quote four self-explanatory paragraphs which need no comment because they are obvious.

On pages 112, 113, and 117, Taqiy al-Din says,

"The foreign policy of Islamic states must be to carry the Islamic mission to the world by way of holy war. This process has been established through the course of the ages from the time the apostle settled down until the end of the last Islamic state which was ruled by Islamic law. This process has never been changed at all. The apostle Muhammad, from the time he founded the state in the city Yathrib, prepared an army and began holy war to remove the physical barriers which hinder the spread of Islam.

"He subdued the tribe of Quraysh as a body, along with other similar groups until Islam prevailed all over the Arabian peninsula. Then the Islamic state started to knock at the doors of other states to spread Islam. Whenever it found that the nature of the existing system in these states was a barrier which prevented the spread of the mission, they saw it as inevitable that the system be removed. So holy war continued as a means of spreading Islam. Thus by holy war, countries and regions were conquered. By holy war, kingdoms and states were removed and Islam ruled the nations and peoples. "The glorious Qur'an has revealed to Muslims the reasons for fighting and the ordinance of holy war and it declares that it is to carry the message of Islam to the entire world. There are several verses which command the Muslims to fight for the cause of Islam. Therefore, carrying the Islamic mission is the basis on which the Islamic state was established, the Islamic army was founded, and holy war was ordained. All the conquests were achieved accordingly. Fulfilling the Islamic mission will restore the Islamic state to the Muslims."

Then he adds on pages 113, 114, and 115,

"If holy war is the established, unchangeable means of spreading Islam, then political activities become a necessity before initiating the fight. If we besiege the infidels, we would call them to embrace Islam first. If they accept Islam, they become part of the Islamic community, but if they reject Islam, they have to pay the poll-tax. If they pay it, they spare their blood and properties, but if they refuse to pay the poll-tax, then fighting them becomes lawful."

Readers, please note that these same words and principles are confirmed by all the Muslim scholars who are well acquainted with the sayings and deeds of Muhammad and his successors.

On pages 115 and 116 Taqiy al-Din indicates again, this historical statement,

"The Islamic system is a universal system, thus it was natural that it would spread, and natural that countries would be conquered. Here the apostle is receiving from Muslims the pledge of 'aqaba the Second, making a pact with him to fight all people. Those Muslims were the core of the army of the Islamic state whose military task was to carry the Islamic mission. The apostle of God had designed the plan of conquest before his death, then after him, his successors undertook the responsibility of implementing this plan when they started conquering the countries. Later, the Islamic conquests followed successively on this basis. People's resistance or rejection does not matter because the Islamic system is for all people in all countries."

Let the reader ponder these words and judge for himself. "People's resistance or rejection does not matter because Islam is for all people"; namely, by force, conquest, and war.

But I would like to state here that Christianity is also a universal system, and it is for all people. Christ said,

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature..." (Mark 16:15).

Anyone who believes will be saved and whoever does not believe, God will judge. Christ did not say, "Go into the world and preach. Whoever believes becomes one of our nation, and whoever does not believe should pay the poll-tax to the Christian army or be put to death." He did not say that! This is a crucial difference, my dear reader, between Christ and Muhammad, between Christianity and Islam.

THE BLOODY HISTORY OF ISLAM

Having surveyed the incidents which took place during the life of Muhammad, it is appropriate to mention the events which occurred after his death and how the Caliphs who succeeded him carried out the same principles of Muhammad and the Qur'anic instructions. The history of Islam talks to us with two bloodied hands-first is the blood of peaceful people who safely inhabited the land until they were invaded by the Muslim armies which marched from the Arab Peninsula after the death of Muhammad. In the name of spreading the religion, they killed millions of people, and in the name of exalting the word of God, they plundered properties and divided the "booty" of women and children among themselves, the same as Muhammad did in the course of his campaigns. These Arab Islamic armies obeyed Muhammad's orders and the Qur'anic commands. They believed that spreading Islam and taking the material abundance came from God. The Qur'an explicitly says,

"Allah promises you much booty (spoils of war) that you will capture" (Chapter 48:20).

Muslim scholars do not negate these historically confirmed facts, but rather they brag about them, and their books (both old and modern) are filled with the details of these events. They mention them with pride, and they are glad to explain and demonstrate how the Arab Islamic armies attacked all the Persian lands and part of the Byzantine territories and occupied them. They could tell you how these armies took over Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, and, of course, Libya and all of Africa until the Muslim army reached the borders of China and the regions of Iran. Even Spain had fallen into their hands for hundreds of years. They proceeded then toward France, but they were stopped in the battle of Tours at the hands of Charles Martel. These wars were offensive wars of the first degree. Islam dominated these countries. Nowadays, all Muslim countries belong to the under-developed third world.

Before we let the Muslim chroniclers narrate to us what happened, it is fit here to clarify a very significant issue about which many people inquire.

The Cross Denounces the Crusades

The Crusades were bitter wars led by the princes of Europe for a period of time without any justification except ruthlessness of the heart and faithlessness of those leaders, who (despite their claims that they were attempting to deliver the Christians in the Islamic East from the persecution of the Muslims) were not true believers in Christ or in His teachings. Where in the Gospel do we find any call for war? In this study, we compare Christ with Muhammad, the Gospel with the Qur'an, the sublime teaching of Christianity with the clear teachings of Islam.

1. Did Christ lead any war to spread the faith, to divide the booty and to capture women to enslave them for himself and for his followers?

2. Did Christ order His followers to do so?

3. Did he order Peter to sheath his sword when he unsheathed it and struck the servant of the Jewish high priest when Christ's enemies hastened to arrest him?

4. Did Christ's successors and disciples wage wars and march into battle to take poll-taxes and to spread Christianity?

These are the conclusive questions which reveal the difference between Christ and Muhammad, between Christianity and Islam. If some Christians came after hundreds of years had elapsed and committed such detestable things, Christ and Christianity would certainly denounce such deeds. On the other hand, the Islamic wars were waged by Muhammad himself, then by his relatives and companions who lived with him day after day and to whom he promised paradise.

The other important thing is that they were executing the unequivocal teachings of both Muhammad and the Qur'an which we mentioned previously in this chapter. We have many books which all talk thoroughly and in detail about the offensive wars. The most famous of these books, "The Chronicles of Al-Tabari; Ibn Khaldun; Ibn Kathir" and "The History of the Caliphs" by the Suyuti. The entire Islamic world relies on these books.

Among the contemporary scholars who rely on these sources and quote from them is Dr. Abu Zayd Shalabi, professor of civilization at the Azhar University. His respected book, "al-Khulafa' al-Rashidun" (The Rightly Guided Caliphs, or successors) from which we quoted when we discussed the wars of apostasy, examines these things. We have selected a few quotations from these sources and references because they almost all repeat each other. These events are well-known and confirmed by all Muslims. They are taught in the public schools in all the Islamic countries, especially in the Arab world.

"The Rightly Guided Caliphs" by Dr. Abu Zayd Shalabi

Dr. Abu Zayd Shalabi discusses the Islamic wars which were initiated by the four caliphs who succeeded Muhammad and who, at the same time, were his favored relatives. These caliphs are: Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman and 'Ali. Muhammad married 'Aisha, daughter of Abu Bakr, and Hafesa, daughter of 'Umar. 'Uthman married Ruqayya, the daughter of Muhammad, then after her death, he married her sister Um Kalthum. 'Ali was married to Muhammad's youngest daughter, Fatima al-Zahra.

On pages 35-38, Dr. Abu Zayd remarks,

"Muhammad had prepared an army to invade the borders of Syria. When Muhammad died Abu Bakr sent an army headed by Usama Ibn Zayd and 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab. The army marched towards southern Palestine and invaded some parts of the land, frightened the people and captured some booty."

At the beginning of page 70, Dr. Abu Zayd talks about the Islamic conquests and indicates that at the inception of the year 12 of Hajira, Abu Bakr ordered Khalid Ibn al-Walid to invade Persian lands and to seize the ports near Iraq. Khalid marched with the army, but before he started the war, he sent his famous message to Hermez, one of the Iraqi Generals, "Embrace Islam, or pay the poll-tax, or fight." The Hermez declined to accept any of these terms but war. The Persians were defeated in this battle and Khalid seized the booty and sent Abu Bakr one-fifth of the spoils of war, exactly as they were accustomed to send to Muhammad. One-fifth of the booty belonged to God and to Muhammad.

Abu Bakr presented Khalid with the Hermez's tiara which was inlaid with gems. Dr. Abu Zayd says the value of the gems amounted to 100,000 dirham (p. 73). After that, the successful, savage invasions continued against other countries which could not repel the forces of Islam. This Azhar scholar tells us that in the battle of Alees which took place on the border of Iraq, Khalid killed 70,000 people! He was so brutal in his attack that the nearby river was mixed with their blood (p. 75).

On p. 77, Dr. Abu Zayd mentions another country which surrendered to Khalid. Khalid demanded that they pay 190,000 dirhams. When he attacked Ayn al-Tamr in Iraq, its people took shelter in one of the fortresses. Khalid laid siege to the fortress and forced them to come out. He killed all of them mercilessly. They had done nothing against him or against the Muslims except that they refused to embrace Islam and to recognize Muhammad as an apostle of God. The Muslims seized all that they found in the fortress along with forty young men who were studying the Gospel. Khalid captured them and divided them among the Muslims (refer to p. 81).

It is well-known that Khalid Ibn al-Walid was a very brutal, vicious man. His relentlessness made 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab ask Abu Bakr to kill him or at least to depose him because he killed another Muslim in order to marry his wife! Abu Bakr did not listen, but when 'Umar became the second caliph, he deposed him immediately This was 'Umar's opinion about Khalid. Yet, to Muhammad, the prophet of Muslims, Khalid was one of the best among his relatives and warriors.

On page 134, Abu Zayd relates that when Khalid besieged another town called Qinnasrin which belonged to the Byzantine Empire, its people were so afraid that they hid themselves from him. He sent them a message in which he said: "Even if you hide in the cloud, God will lift us up to you or He will lower you down to us." They asked for a peace treaty, but he refused and killed them all. Then he eradicated the town. These are the words of Dr. Abu Zayd which we faithfully relay to you.

Dr. Abu Zayd continues to list the names of the towns and the regions which the Islamic army invaded after the fall of 'Ain al-Tamr. He says: "By the end of the year 12, Hajira, Abu Bakr became interested in Syria (Al Sham). He issued orders to four of his great generals and designated for each one of them a country which he was given to invade. He assigned Damascus to Yazid, Jordan to Sharhabil, Homs to Abu 'Ubayda and Palestine to 'Umru Ibn al-'As.

We wonder: Are these wars defensive wars or are they definitely offensive wars and unjustified military invasions? Abu Bakr's era ends during the famous battle of Yarmick in which tens of thousands were slain for no reason except to impose religion by force, capturing women and plundering the properties. Muslims claim that Abu Bakr died from eating poisoned food a few months before.

When 'Umar was elected to the Caliphate, he deposed Khalid Ibn al-Walid and replaced him immediately with Abu 'Ubayda. The Caliphate (ruling period) of 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab. The Invasion of Persia

'Umar Ibn al-Khattab sent Sa'd Ibn Abi Waqqas to invade Persia. He camped in al-Qaddisia near the river Euphrates. Dr. Abu Zayd narrates for us a very important incident (pages 117-118) which we would like to examine. The author says:

"Sa'd sent some of his followers (among them the Mu'man Ibn Maqrin to Yazdagird, one of the Persian generals) who asked him, 'What enticed you and brought you to invade us?' (Ibn Maqrin) said to him, 'Choose for yourself either Islam or the poll-tax or the sword.' The Persian general became very angry and said to him, 'Had it not been (the custom that messengers should not be killed), I would have killed you. Go; you have nothing to do with me.

Ibn Khaldun confirms this incident in the end of the second volume of his famous history book (pages 94-96). He says, "Rustan, the Persian general, said to one of Sa'd's messengers, 'You were poor and we used to provide you with plenty of food. Why do you invade us now?"

It was obvious that the Persians had never thought to invade the Arabs, but they used to send them plenty of food because of the poverty of the Arab peninsula. Never-the-less, the Arabs seized the opportunity to invade Persia after they realized that the Persians had been weakened by its wars with the Byzantine Empire and their own internal problems. Thus, they repaid. compassion with wickedness and goodness with evil. The question which the Persian general Sa'd asked was a logical one, "Why do you attack us? Did we mistreat you?" The answer was also very clear, "You have three options!" Dr. Abu Zayd says on in p. 123:

"Sa'd seized (after the battle of Qadisiyya) all that was in the treasury of Khusro of money and treasure. It was so plentiful that each Arab horseman received 12,000 dirham."

The Invasion of Damascus

On pages 131 and 132 of the same book, "The Rightly Guided Caliphs," the author indicates,

"Abu 'Ubayda marched towards Damascus and besieged it for seventy nights. He cut off all supplies while its inhabitants were pleading for help and assistance. Then Khalid attacked the city and massacred thousands of people. (They were forced) to ask for a peace treaty. Abu 'Ubayda turned over the rule of Damascus to Yazid and ordered him to invade the neighboring (cities). He attacked Sidon, Beirut, and others." The Attack on Jerusalem

On pages 136 and 137, we read about the attack of 'Umru Ibn al-'as on Jerusalem. He besieged it for four months. Then its Christian inhabitants agreed to pay the poll-tax and to surrender to 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab, the caliph. 'Umar made the trip to Jerusalem and laid the foundation of the mosque. With that, the conquest of Syria was accomplished, but as the pestilence (plague) raged, many of the high-ranking generals of the Islamic army died, among them Abu Ubayda, Yazid and Sharahbil.

The Invasion of Wealthy Egypt

On pages 141 and 142, the author narrates how the invasion and occupation of Egypt were accomplished. Among the justifications which 'Umru Ibn al-'As presented to 'Umar which convinced him to allow 'Umru to attack Egypt were the following:

"Egypt's abundance and yields are plentiful. The conquest of Egypt would gain for the Muslims a foothold in Syria and make it easier for them to invade Africa to spread Islam."

It is important to mark 'Umru's statement that "Egypt's abundance and yields are plentiful." Eventually Egypt and Africa were both conquered.

On pages 145 and 146, the professor of civilization at the Azhar relates how 'Umru besieged the Fortress of Babylon (south of ancient Egypt) for a full month, and that he said to the messengers of the Muqawqis, the governor of Egypt,

"There is nothing between us and you except three things: (1) Embrace Islam, become our brethren and you will have what we have and you will be subjected to what we are subjected (in this case they would pay alms to the treasury of the state).

(2) If you refuse that, you are obligated to pay tribute with humiliation.

(3) War.

"The Muqawqis attempted to offer them something different, but they rejected it. At last, after a fight, he accepted the second condition, namely to pay tribute and to be subjugated to Islamic rule. The Muslims entered Egypt."

On page 147 and 148 Abu Zayd describes the conquest of Alexandria and denies that the Muslims burned the famous library of Alexandria. Yet he admits that many chroniclers have mentioned that 'Umar Ibn al-Khattab ordered 'Umru to burn it entirely.

After the conquest and the occupation of Egypt, the author says (page 151) that 'Umru wanted to secure this conquest from the west by conquering Tripoli of Libya, and from the south by seizing Ethiopia. Thus at the close of the year 21 H. as Ibn Khaldun and Yaqut al-Kindi remarked (that is in the first half of the year 643 A.D. as Ibn al Athir and other chroniclers said), "Umru marched on with his horsemen towards Tripoli."

On page 153 he adds:

"Umru besieged Tripoli for a month. It was a well-fortified city. At last a group of Muslims infiltrated the city and fought some of the Byzantines who soon fled. 'Umar entered the city and captured all that was in it, then he assailed the city of Sabra without warning and conquered it by force. He seized all that could be seized from it. Then he sent his army to Ethiopia, but he failed to enter it and suffered great losses. The skirmishes continued until a peace treaty was signed during the time of 'Uthman Ibn 'Affan."

Are these wars considered defensive? What is an offensive war then?

During the Caliphate of 'Uthman Ibn 'Affan On pages 167 and 168, the book tells us:

"Uthman ordered 'Abdalla Ibn Abi al-Sarh to invade Africa, then he sent Abdalla Ibn al-Zubayr. They slaughtered thousands of the people among them their king, Jayan, and they captured booty."

These are the words of Dr. Abu Zayd in his famous book, "The Rightly Guided Caliphs". We have quoted him word for word. Let the reader ponder these words and judge for himself. What is the crime of these people, whether in Africa or Syria or Egypt or in other countries? Muslims say-That was for the exaltation of God's word. God the compassionate, the Merciful!

The Wars to spread Islam

On pages 66 and 67 Dr. Abu Zayd confesses clearly, "The thing which compelled Abu Bakr to invade Persia and the Byzantine Empire was not to seize their abundance, but rather to spread Islam. This claim is based on evidence that the generals of the Islamic armies used to call the countries to embrace Islam before they started fighting them. Khalid Ibn al-Walid sent a message to the princes of Persia saying: 'After all, accept Islam and you will be safe, or pay the tribute; otherwise I will come to you with a people who desire death as you desire drinking wine.

Is this the truth? Yes and no, Dr. Abu Zayd! Yes, we accept your confession that the war was to spread Islam. We agree that spreading Islam was an essential incentive for war. We are content with your unequivocal confession in regard to this matter. We have written these pages in order to denote these facts and nothing more to prove that Islam was spread by sword and that the Islamic wars were offensive wars. Your confirmation and faithful narration of history in "The Rightly Guided Caliphs" have helped us to prove this fact. Thank you.

Yet, we disagree with you when you claim that material abundance was not another reason for these wars. We will not allow you to conceal this obvious fact because you yourself have unintentionally alluded to it when you listed the reasons for the invasion of Egypt-among them were "the abundance of Egypt and its yields". More than that, ponder what the Qur'an says in Chapter 48:20:

"Allah (God) promises you much booty that you will capture" (Qur'an).

Or let us listen to Muhammad's explicit statement in which he (after exhorting his warriors to fight bravely) promised the plunder of the country. Did you forget, Dr. Abu Zayd, what Muhammad said? Let me remind you. Muhammad said, "You see, God will soon make you inherit their land, their treasures and make you sleep with their women" (Lit: make their women's beds for you).

These plain, disgraceful words are recorded by Ibn Hisham on page 182 Vol. II, of his famous book, "Al Rod AL Anf", which all the researchers regard as a reliable reference. Thus, when Muslims invaded a certain land incited by the desire to possess the land, treasures, and women, they were actually fulfilling God's promise as it was stated in the Qur'an and in Muhammad's pledge.

"The Beginning and the End," by Ibn Kathir (vol. 7)

We would like to quote a few incidents from this book by Ibn Kathir who is one of the ancient Muslim scholars and chroniclers and a reliable source for all students of Islamic history. On page 2, we read the following,

"At the inception of the year 13 of the Hajira, Abu Bakr was determined to draft soldiers to send them to Syria in compliance with the words of the Qur'an: Fight... those who were given the Scripture (Chapter 9:9); and also follow the example of the apostle of God who gathered the Muslims together to invade Syria before his death."

He also adds on page 9:

"When Abu Bakr sent Khalid to Iraq, Abu Hurayra, who was one of Muhammad's companions, used to exhort Muslims to fight by telling them: 'Hasten to the Houris' (fair, black-eyed women)."

Those Houris are the nymphs of paradise who are particularly designated for the enjoyment of Muslims.

"The Blood of the Byzantine is more delicious', Khalid said!"

On page 10, Ibn Khathir tells us that when the Byzantine leaders rejected Islam or paying tribute, Khalid told them,

"We are people who drink blood. We were told that there is no blood that is more delicious than the blood of the Byzantines."

Such words well suit people like Khalid, Muhammad's beloved friend and relative.

On page 13 we read the following,"Gregorius, one of the great princes of the Byzantines, said to Khalid: 'What do you call us for?' Khalid answered him: 'That you testify that there is no God but the only God and that Muhammad is His messenger and apostle, and to acknowledge all that Muhammad received from God (namely pilgrimage, fasting of Ramadan, etc.).' Gregorius said to him: 'And if these are not accepted?' Khalid responded, 'Then pay the tribute.' Gregorius said to him: 'If we do not give the tribute?' Khalid said: 'Then war!"

Ibn Kathir acknowledges (on page 21) that when the Muslims conquered Damascus, they seized St. John's church and converted it into the largest mosque in Damascus today (The Umayyad Mosque). On page 55, we read also about the invasion of Jerusalem. On page 123, he states,

"Umar Ibn al-Khattab wrote to Abdil-Rahman Ibn Rabi'a ordering him to invade the Turks (Turkey today)."

The Second Invasion of Africa

On page 165 Ibn Kathir records for us that:

"The second invasion of Africa was accomplished because its people broke their pledge. That was in year 33 of the Hajira (The Moslem Calendar)."

Of course, the people of Africa broke the pledge because that pledge was imposed on them by force in lieu of death. Yet Muslims killed thousands of them. Ibn Kathir already mentioned in page 151 that,

"Uthman Ibn 'Affan ordered 'Abdalla Ibn Sa'd to invade Africa. [He told him] 'If you conquer it take 1/25 of its booty.' 'Abdalla Ibn Sa'd marched towards it at the head of an army of 20,000 soldiers. He conquered it and killed multitudes of people from among its inhabitants until the remnant were converted to Islam and became subject to the Arabs. 'Abdalla took his portion of the booty as 'Uthman told him, then he divided the rest.

How unfortunate were the African people! They were invaded by the Arabs who killed thousands of them, divided the booty, and forced the remnant to embrace Islam. When they broke the pact, the Muslims attacked them again. But are the black African people the only unfortunate people? Or are all the people of Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Libya, all the Arab tribes, Spain, even the people of China and India, Cyprus and the Kurds, all the unfortunate peoples? All of these are unfortunate nations who became the victims of Islamic Law which detests human rights and persistently ignores their freedom.

The Invasion of Cyprus and the Kurds

Ibn Kathir tells us that in the year 28 of the Hajira, the conquest of Cyprus was accomplished after 'Abdulla Ibn al-Zubayr slaughtered a multitude of people-as usual. Ibn Khaldun also tells the story of the Kurds. In page 124 of Vol. II, he says,

"Muslims met a number of Kurds. They called them to embrace Islam or pay the tribute. When they refused to do so they killed them and captured their women and children, then divided the booty."

As we see, Ibn Khaldun along with Ibn Kathir, al-Tabari and other chroniclers, ancient and contemporary such as Dr. Abu Zayd, recorded all the Islamic historical events in detail. Moreover, on every occasion Arab newspapers allude boastfully to these memorial episodes of Islamic history and shed light on these savage, wild offensive wars. For instance, we read in the prestigious Ahram newspaper which is published in Egypt, the following,

"During the era of the Caliph 'Umar Ibn 'Abdul-'Aziz, Ibn Qutayba in the year 88H, he invaded some of the neighboring countries of Iran such as Bukhara, and Samarq and marched close to the Chinese border" (refer to the Ahram, Mary 26, 1986, p. 13).

In his book, "The Beginning and the End" (part 9), Ibn Kathir narrates in detail the history of this belligerent general, Ibn Qutayba. He records the story of his campaigns and refers to his biography.

We would like to conclude this chapter with a brief summary which Taqiy al-Din al-Nabahani presents in his book, "The Islamic State" (pp. 121 and 122). He summarizes the history of Islamic offensive wars against the neighboring peaceful countries by saying,

"Muhammad had begun to send troops and initiate campaigns against the Syrian borders such as the campaign of Mu'ta and Tabuk. Then the rightly guided caliphs ruled after him and the conquest continued. (The Arabs) conquered Iraq, Persia, and Syria whose faith was Christianity and which were inhabited by the Syrians, Armenians, some Jews and some Byzantines. Then Egypt and North Africa were conquered. When the Umayyad took over after the rightly guided caliphs, they conquered the Sind, Khawarizm, and Samarqand. They annexed them to the lands of the Islamic state."

According to all Muslim chroniclers, it is well documented that Armenia and Morocco were conquered during the era of 'Abdul-Malik Ibn Marwan. When his son, al-Walid, assumed the throne, he invaded India and Andalusia..

Also, Dr. 'Afifi Abdul-Fattah, the Muslim scholar, encapsulates the whole principle in a few explicit, straightforward words, as he says (page 382 of his famous book "The Spirit of the Islamic Religion"),

"Islam has acknowledged war in order to exalt the word of God. This is a fight for God's cause."

He also adds in p. 390,

"Before the Islamic state declares war against another state, it should give (the other state) the choice between Islam, tribute or war."

We need not say anything more than that. Maybe this is what Muslims mean when they say, "We believe in human freedom and man's right to choose according to his own will! We present him with three options, and he has the right to chose as he wishes- either to become a Muslim and pay alms to the Caliph of the Muslims, or pay the tribute and submit to Islamic rule, or we kill him."

Has the veil been removed?

Is the deception over?

AFFLUENZA DISEASE

Just what is “Affluenza”? It is a pernicious killer disease (epidemic of stress, debt and insatiable lust for “stuff and things”—affluence + influenza). Thank God, we of Miracle River are not affected by the buy/consume syndrome as those all around us: we live a sacrificial life, simple and free from the lust for “stuff and things” that puts one in the prisonhouse of debt FOREVER!

The infamous “Jones Family”, the ones Americans have all been trying to keep up with for years, are even facing very hard times in these hard times.

Is an outbreak of “Affluenza” sweeping your area afresh and anew? or are your neighbors just “hanging on til the going-on comes on”?

The symptoms of “Affluenza” are “swollen expectations” and “hyper-commercialism”, like the slick trash you see on your one-eyed devil, your devilvision, I mean television. You see the ads everywhere . . . all over America, an ugly sight for sore eyes! Other obvious symptoms are “brain rot and heart trouble, shopping fever, credit-card mania, a rash of bankruptcies, fractured and hurting families, chronic stress, social scars and endless exhaustion”. This is “Affluenza” . . . China style!

There is no doubt about it, Americans are sick, dying, even rotting in their recliners, too stressed out and exhausted to relieve their bloated bladders and compacted bowels. This “stuff and things” disease is a serious malady; with over-consumption and materialism, Americans are headed to an early grave in a Wal-Mart shopping cart. Communities all across this nation are nothing but junkyards for “stuff and things”. Our environment—physical, social, and spiritual—are polluted beyond help by the materialistic lifestyle. Our “consumer friendly” culture is glutted with worthless trash from all over the world, especially junk from China.

“Voluntary simplicity”, meaning the general principle, is one of the greatest cures for “Affluenza” . . . along with, and above all, a daily Gos-pill (the Gospel of Christ).

Religion of Materialism

AMERICA IS following the religion of materialism. It says it is Christian, but it hasn’t been really Christian for over two generations or longer. America believes in “stuff and things”. In America, the belief is that “stuff and things” will make everyone happy and satisfied. But America is MISERABLE, and what happened is that it left its true lover, God, to pursue such nonsense.

“Things” will not satisfy that desire in you that only God will. Man was made to serve God. That is the first calling, and unless he does that, he will not find any fulfillment in this life.

Riches are deceitful. The Bible clearly says this. The Bible clearly warns against riches: 1 Timothy 6:10 states, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” Yet many churches teach the prosperity message and denote money as being a sign of Christian success. Nothing could be farther from the truth. True Christian success is in fulfilling the will of the Father over our lives.

“AFFLUENZA!!”

AFFLUENZA IS a plague in this nation where we see everyone on an endless treadmill of getting “stuff and things” and never being satisfied or fulfilled with what they get. People think if they get this new material thing or that new thing that it is going to make them happy, and yet it never does. People who are under the influences of this PLAGUE are more stressed, have more health problems, and have all kinds of problems in their relationships. Money and materialism don’t buy happiness.

Studies have shown that people who have very little or almost nothing in the material realm and who just live a simple life are much more fulfilled and happy. In fact, a very high percentage of marital problems that end in divorce are over money.

Community-living is an alternative to the materialistic lifestyle. It is an alternative in that even worldly people can learn to get together and pool their resources, eat together, take care of one another’s children and thereby use fewer resources and spend less money than the average American family. The people who practice some sort of community pooling of resources are more happy.

We see that getting the latest gadget is not going to make anyone satisfied: it is probably going to just cause you more problems, and you’ll have to pay for it! It is better to live a simple life and be happy with what you have than to seek fulfillment in getting the latest trinket, because it never brings the joy and happiness that the marketing people say it will.

The Love of Stuff

IT IS amazing how much, in about fifty years, America has been consumed with the love of stuff and things to the point of homes being broken apart every day and lives falling apart because of the lust and love of material goods. Nowadays, both parents are gone working, and so the kids are left to themselves a good portion of the time. All this is done in a supposed effort to “get ahead”.

Where did all of this come in? After World War II, Christian men and women started throwing off Biblical guidelines of temperance and the principles of living a moderate lifestyle within the means of their income. They started looking for the “comfortable” and the “flashy”. Now the whole country is consumed with MATERIAL LUST to the point it is KILLING THEM physically and spiritually. A small percentage of people have realized the dilemma they are in and they have cut themselves back from overindulgence—yet they are only treating their problems at the surface level.

The truth is, we have strayed from the laws and morals of God. We must get our relationship back into right-standing with God. We, as a nation, have given preeminence to every other thing in our life except to the One who created us and the One who died for us. In our lust for the stuff and things, we have contaminated the whole world with the same filth we have given ourselves to.

Let God cleanse your heart from the idols of materialism and self-love. That is what will change things in our own lives and the lives of others.

Materialism: God of America?

WE HAVE seen an epidemic in America in the last fifty years, an epidemic of AFFLUENZA. People are so self-indulgent and self-absorbed, it is causing Americans to be stressed out and only concerned with how much stuff and things they can accumulate. It is a POSSESSION OVERLOAD whereby the possessions own and control the consumer, the person is powerless to stop his or her compulsion to go out and buy. Even now, people are ordering and consuming via the Internet—so they don’t even have to worry about going out!

Interestingly, “consumer” is from the root word “consumption”, which had a bad connotation in years past, associated with the dreaded disease tuberculosis.

Large corporations are targeting the youth: kids have money, and they have influence and power over their parents which makes them a large buying segment of society. The “kid power” is the second largest market to be targeted and so the corporations are going for their money. Even the younger kids are demanding that their parents buy the “best”. Junior- and senior-high school students DREAD to show up at school in hand-me-down clothes, as they would not be accepted.

People cannot budget their income anymore. What a SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS it has turned out to be when the American people are under the epidemic of AFFLUENZA.

The Lie of the “American Dream”

SINCE AMERICANS have departed from the truth of the Scriptures which tell us, “godliness with contentment is great gain” and “with food and clothing, therewith be content”, and have accepted the LIE of the “American dream” which says, “More ‘stuff and things’ equals the good life,” Americans have been suffering from the extreme malady called “AFFLUENZA”. This “affluenza” is the feeling of emptiness despite all the stuff and things that America has accumulated. Well, if we will only go back to the truth of the Scriptures and believe the admonition of God for frugality, living soberly, for contentment and simplicity and trusting not in the treasures that will pass away but trusting and desiring for the treasures that God gives, then we will be happy.”

Oppression of Materialism

AMERICANS ARE oppressed by a lot of demons. Materialism is one of the main demons that rules in America. Television is the other. Both of these work hand-in-hand to destroy the souls of Americans.

When America began to gain more prosperity during the 1950's, it started to forget God. Now it is 2008 and the lust for prosperity is a MONSTER that is out of control. People are hooked on credit cards and all sorts of easy credit. Now it is all backfiring. I believe the current economic conditions in America are God’s judgments against this country’s greed, and they’re only going to get worse. Famine will eventually hit this country.

I see also that the church people are hypocrites to the core. There are men who represent respected parts of the Body of Christ and yet they wear clothes that are very expensive and live in luxury houses. So they do a lot of talking, but they are not doing.

Another problem now is that KIDS RULE THEIR PARENTS. God has spoken many prophetic Words that this was going to happen. Kids are even starting to kill their parents. Now we have a generation of beastly sodomite kids that are going to reap the wrath of God, and their parents will reap of the same wrath.

I believe that there are some people who are trying to live in community—loosely of course—in an effort to save money and resources. This is good, but it will never work correctly without the Lord. You need the Holy Spirit and God’s laws working in community for it to truly work.

The Good Life

AFTER THE depression of the 1930's, America needed a lift by the U.S. Government and it started encouraging low-interest loans, buying on credit, mass production, etc., which started Americans spending like never before in history.

Before the 1950's, Americans would only buy things if they had the cash. After the 1950's, they started buying on credit and going into debt just to “have it now”. This was portrayed as the “good life”, and it was supposed to make one very happy to have as many things as they could possess. Now Americans suffer from “AFFLUENZA”, which is an unhappy state of depression, nervousness, and anxiety caused by the dogged pursuit of gaining more material things than one needs. Selfishness and greed are ruling America.

The newest market that has exploded over the last several years is children in schools. The advertisers are now advertising heavily in high schools, and even grade schools through such things as “Channel 1" which the children in school are required to watch every morning. Children are being exploited at a younger and younger age and are encouraged to spend money and buy, buy, buy.

I see that without salvation in Jesus Christ, the problem cannot be overcome. Americans will keep on being greedy and covetous because they have the “beast inside” that only Jesus Christ can conquer.

Never Have Enough

GOD HAS given us our own nation, His Holy Tribal Nation, yet our beautiful gift is surrounded by a much larger nation that is not governed by God. This alien nation around us has many problems, contagious problems which we must guard against to avoid being infected.

One of the most deadly diseases affecting America is Affluenza. The symptoms of this disease are many, but primarily it is known by the vexing feelings of dissatisfaction, emptiness and the growing fear that you can never have enough.

Being soldiers of the cross, we know the cause of this malady: the flesh. We read in Galatians 5:17 that the flesh lusteth against the Spirit. The bottom line is: No matter how much we accumulate, our flesh is never satisfied. Unless measures are taken against this beast that lurks within, the outcome is predictable: a continual driving and striving to gain as much “stuff and things” as you can possibly amass. Those who die in the clutches of this MONSTER are surely bound for Hell.

Is there a cure? Yes, thank God. Jesus died on the cross to save us from all diseases, both natural and spiritual, Affluenza Idolatry included. The first step is dedicating your life to Jesus. The second step is realizing you must die to yourself—your flesh does not need and cannot have everything it desires. Third, make up your mind that you will let the Lord tell you what you need and that you will be happy with that. There is hope, but it will only be found in a life lived for the Lord. Without Jesus you don’t stand a chance against the beast. Accept the fact that you don’t need all that you want. Learn to be happy and grateful for what God gives and you can defeat the dreaded disease of Affluenza Idolatry.

DREADED AFFLUENZA DISEASE

AMERICA, BABYLON, is dying of a deadly disease called “Affluenza”. Our abundant affluence is drawing us into a sea of hyper-commercialism and debt.

“The borrower is servant to the lender” says the Holy Scripture. Americans have become economic slaves to their indebtedness. “No man can serve two masters (God and Mammon, the money demon-god),“ says Jesus.

American prosperity is an illusion/delusion based on credit. What is credit? It is simply an I.O.U., a promise to pay money that a person doesn’t have! In other words, credit is literally all in your mind!—money that doesn’t even exist.

The American Babylonians are spiritually destitute, morally and economically bankrupt, psychologically demonized in the lust for material gain. Shopping fever, fractured families, chronic stress, resource exhaustion: the solution to the pollution is GIVING ONE’S LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, and putting under our feet that ol’ demon beast satan, the source of our material lust, and living the life here abundantly of joy, peace, love, temperance, gentleness, goodness, faith and meekness.

With Contentment

IT IS stupid and foolish to always be chasing riches–to always be wanting more and more stuff and things. If you waste your whole life only seeking material possessions and earthly treasure you will end up empty and discontented. You will never be satisfied. You will experience fleeting thrills that always leave you wanting something more once they are over. There is a joy in living simply–in only having what you actually need and not just everything and anything. If you live a simple life you have more time for other people and more peace and happiness because you are not always having to worry about getting every new thing that comes on the market or fearing that somebody is going to take all the stuff that you have already accumulated. God never intended people to become possessed of their possessions. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6:8 that we are to be content if we have food and clothes. We are not supposed to be always wanting all kinds of stuff and things that we don’t really need. We are not supposed to be always trying to get rich. We are supposed to be happy and contented if we just have the bare necessities. People who are sitting in the lap of luxury are not usually content anyways, so it is stupid to think that if only you had this or that you would be happy.

Really living simply is not an answer in itself either. You can live simply and end up in Hell just like you can be rich and end up in Hell. 1 Timothy 6:6 says, “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” So we really need to be content with what we have and be godly. That means we need to be obeying God and seeking to please Him with our lives. We need to be in communion with Him and to be always thanking, praising and worshiping Him. That is Godliness with contentment. That is what God created man for in the first place– to commune with Him and worship Him. Only when we are pleasing God and daily fellowshipping with Him will we be truly happy, satisfied and contented. If we try to find satisfaction in any thing else–riches, fame, people, sports, business, etc., etc., we will only be disillusioned and dissatisfied.

Another point I’d like to make is that out whole purpose in life is not supposed to be about whether or not we feel satisfied or happy! Our whole purpose as Christians should be to please God and get the Gospel out! We are supposed to “seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto us. We are supposed to “set our affections on things above, not on things of the earth.” So we’re not even supposed to worrying about whether or not we are happy or comfortable with the way we are living. We should be worried about whether or not God is happy with the way we are living and are we doing all that we can for him with whatever resources we have? Let us be content to live a simple life of obedience and worship to God. Let us seek Him and the furtherance of His Kingdom first and only and then He will take care of our physical needs. Notice, I said He will provide for our needs not wants. Amen.

ROTTED and RUINED

BY THE age of 20, it is said that the average American has seen over 1 MILLION commercials. Another statistic quotes that Americans possess over 1 BILLION credit cards. Has this brought happiness into our lives? Are we better people for it?

The commercials have ROTTED our thoughts, and the credit cards have RUINED our lives. People are going MAD for more “stuff and things”, though they have no means to acquire such things except by FLASHING a meaningless piece of PLASTIC that eventually BITES THEM BACK a short while later. The whole system we live in is literally HAREBRAINED—only held together by a plastic helmet and a fairytale of “better days ahead”.

Many people are now confessing that getting more “stuff and things” has not satisfied them. Men, women and children EVERYWHERE are MISERABLE.

The only way to remedy this situation is to TURN OFF the ONE-EYED DEVIL—the TV—and MELT DOWN all the plastic in your wallets. Then, and only then, will we have the clarity of mind to come and drink of the true “fountains of living water” that never run dry, where we will be satisfied in Jesus Christ the Lord.

“Gotta Have It!!!”

I REMEMBER a man over the radio saying, “Gotta have it!...Gotta Have It!...GOTTA HAVE IT!!” Now we’ve “gotten” everything our GREEDY hearts could want, and it’s making us PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY and SPIRITUALLY SICK.

We live in a time where materialism is so rampant that we are CONSUMED with “stuff and things”. These “things” are KILLING us!

Now, apparently, many Americans have been diagnosed with “Affluenza”, a deadly sickness of wanting . . . WANTING . . . WANTING!—and never being satisfied. Presently there are meetings going on around America for people who need immediate HELP because they are “sick” of ever wanting and buying, yet feel driven to want and buy more. THE PLAGUE OF “AFFLUENZA” IS INFECTING MILLIONS!!!

Looking at it from a spiritual point of view, for all of you who don’t know Jesus Christ, He is the ONLY ONE who can truly heal you of this disease. We are not supposed to gather our treasures here on this earth. The real treasure is in Jesus Christ the Lord. Proverbs 15:16 states, “Better is little with reverent worshipful fear of the LORD than great and rich treasures and trouble with it.” And 1 Timothy 6:6-7 says, “...godliness accompanied with contentment—that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency—is great and abundant gain. For we brought nothing into the world, obviously we cannot take anything out of the world.” So all you prosperity preachers should read your Bible again and seek the Lord, for your LUST of “stuff and things” has not helped the American Christians, or even the sinners.

I see we need to be more needy here in America—plastic junk from China is making us SICK and BLIND. We are not here on this earth to collect junk but for the purposes of Jesus Christ. If you have this DISEASE of “Affluenza”, REPENT of your sins, ask Jesus Christ into your heart, obey Him, love Him with all that you are, and He will heal you. Seek treasures above, not on this earth.

God’s Perfect Way

GOD HAS always had the perfect way for His people to live. Men and women are the ones who come up with all kinds of changes for the “better” or so they think. I truly believe God’s perfect plan for His people was to live in community. We really would have far less problems if all Christians would live communally and have one purpose, one goal—namely: to bring more souls to Christ and be a better witness of Christ themselves. Instead all these Christians—how they can bear to call themselves “Christian” is beyond me—don’t even consider that Christ lived communally with His disciples and they weren’t all chasing the stuff and things god. Nowadays, Christians go around totally oblivious to the fact that they are supposed to belong to another kingdom. Instead, they chase everything the pagans chase and get everything the pagans get and have all the problems the pagans have. Aren’t Christians supposed to be different than the pagans? No wonder the world is so dark today! The pagans have no example to look to, no hope to hang onto, because the Christians who are supposed to be have the answer, since they have Jesus who is the Savior of the whole world, have no answers. They don’t have any hope or answer to give to anybody because Jesus in not truly the Lord of their lives—their fat affluent lifestyle is!

Oh, some people make me gag! They talk about how they have found the most infinite truth and the best way to live and bla bla bla, and then when they are faced up with living like we do, they almost have a heart attack because they might have to sacrifice something. Well, okay! Well look what you sacrifice for your stuff and things god: Your happiness, your peace of mind, your children, your marriage, and most of all your salvation and love for God!!! And in a few years the stuff and things you’ve sacrificed everything for all goes in the trash and all you have left is debts to pay. Then you have to go to get counseling so someone can basically tell you that you don’t have to buy everything you see, when if you were smart you could have followed God’s perfect plan and you would never have had to go that way at all. In God’s community, you don’t have to worry about all that junk because you have one focus and one goal, i.e. to bring more souls to Christ.

If Christians would chase the Lord like they chase after the god of materialism, I am sure this world would see a lot better Christians. We need to get our focus back on the Lord Jesus, and seek His face instead of the mall. If you’re glutted out on junk food you could care less about really good healthy food, and if you’re all stuffed on things, you’re going to think the way of the Cross is frightfully boring! Really, though, chasing the things of this world is a never satisfying game where you go round and round and finally die because life crashes down on you, and you have nothing in Christ. In my opinion that’s not a very fulfilling life. Christians need to remember that we don’t belong to this world. Our love and affections are supposed to be on heavenly things. This world’s junk will satisfy you for about 5 minutes, but Christ will give lifelong satisfaction. Let us choose Jesus and His way of life for us because it’s worth it and stuff and things is NOT!

THE DISEASE OF CREDIT

HELLO! HAVE you had an outbreak of affluenza in your family? Almost all American families have it. It is the terrible disease of wasting money and buying more than you need. And there is one thing America has created that helps in the affluenza frenzy—it's called “credit”. It's where if you want to buy something, and you don't have the money on you, they will give you a little plastic rectangle (a credit card) which shows you are going to pay for an item later that you get now. This was the biggest trap that America ever created! Why? Because most American families end up with lots of credit cards, and they get more every day. Most people will buy many things every day on credit because they don't have to pay on the spot. Then comes the big problem—THEY CAN'T PAY UP! SO WATCH OUT OR YOU MIGHT BE THE NEXT VICTIM OF AFFLUENZA.

Greed, Gluttony, Grossness

QUITE OBVIOUSLY the U.S.A. is a driven nation, driven by the forces of greed, gluttony, and grossness. These forces are bringing the great American dream to a screeching halt as too much of everything is causing the collapse of the economy, the moral fiber, physical bodies, emotional health as well as societal and family breakdowns.

Many in America have been hit with the plague of accumulation to the point that they have been blinded by gluttony, not only for food, but for stuff and things. And it is these things that are proving to be more than the people can handle. Multitudes are hopelessly in debt. I once had an acquaintance in the late 1980's who was trying to get his life right with the Lord. One day he confessed to me that he was deeply in debt. Now I expected him to tell me that he was in debt perhaps several thousand dollars, as he had no home to pay a mortgage on, he had no new car, and though he had expensive clothes, that was about all I could see. The man confessed to me that he was FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN DEBT, hopelessly bound in a trap of his own making. He was a glutton, not for food, but for stuff; and his life was a hopeless shambles and showed up the grossness of greed left unchecked. He said the majority of the debt was for various credit card purchases and it had only compounded itself over the years.

It is a good thing that debtors are not thrown into prisons, because if they were, about three fourths of the population would be in prison. Is there a way out of the prison-house of greed, gluttony, and grossness?

The only way out is through Jesus Christ the Lord who can deliver us from the bondage of these cruel forces and direct our spending, if we will turn our money over to Him and let Him instruct us in wise spending. If you don’t know Jesus, repent today of your sins, ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of your life, and then allow Him to control and direct your spending, and you will find your life comes back into order through the assistance and direction of the Lord Jesus.

A Letter to MISS LIBERTY!

LIBERTY! This word has thrilled billions and billions of peoples over the centuries, especially here in America (millions here). It thrilled both the Old Testament and New Testament peoples before there was a "Miss Liberty."

The first time we find the word “liberty” is in Lev. 25:10 (Strong's number H1865, derowr) = "freedom" (from an unused root meaning "to move rapidly," hence, "spontaneity of outflow."

"And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family" (Lev. 25:10).

The last time liberty is used in the Old Testament is in Ezra 46:17 with the same meaning.

In the New Testament, we find liberty used for the first time in Luke 4:18: (Strong's number G859, aphesis) = "freedom, pardon, deliverance, forgiveness, and remission."

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:18).

The last time is found in 2 Pet. 2:19 which means: (Strong's number G1657, eleutheria) "freedom (legitimate or licentious)." There are also other Greek words.

The Dictionary says: "The conditions of being free from restrictions or control; the right to act, believe, or express oneself in a manner of one's own choosing..." This pretty much defines the liberty that ONCE was found in America...but is slowly, little-by-little being stripped from the U.S. citizens (by the very government they have supported!).

We know that liberty, or freedom, means different things to the Christian and non-Christians, but over all, liberty was promised to all U.S. citizens.

Using Our Liberty

PAUL WRITES in Gal. 5:13 that we: "have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." What does he mean? (context vv. 13-15). throughout history, God was at work on His plan to make men freemen in Christ; on the other hand, the U.S.gov. has worked on its plan to enslave men instead of serving them. Note Paul's take on "the law" in v. 14: "...Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." You can't really love your neighbor if you, as stated in v. 15: "devour one another." True Christianity seeks the best for peoples; government uses peoples/abuses peoples. This is why the (true) Christian Ekklesia should be different from that of mere politics.

Freedom!

THE CENTRAL TASK of God's Ekklesia is to produce Christ-like men and women, not mere puppets on a string, as do the governments of this world—in the name of "liberty;" SIN could use the weakness of human nature (flesh) to do harm to one's neighbor. Sadly, the church has followed the world, using its liberty to PERVERT...not CONVERT. The whole pro- homosexual stand that many churches are caught up in is using liberty in this manner. The Statue of Liberty may represent the freedom to sin and keep on sinning; this is not what God's Word declares for us.

The only way to establish and maintain human freedom is being in Christ (not in church!) Christian freedom is liberty to love both God and our neighbor. And we want our neighbor to have the best- Eternal Life!

Pink Passion

BIBLICAL LOVE is not endorsing or participating in what God's Word calls SIN, EVIL, ABOMINATION.

This GLBTQ type of "love" is skrewed. God's true love combines discipline, guidance, and protection. As "discipline," it is self-imposed. As "guidance," this question must be asked: "what would love do?" So long as a man/woman does not violate the requirements of love, he/she is FREE, and his/her FREEDOM is protected. What is more, love keeps him/her from violating other men and women's freedom (if that freedom is godly).

1 Cor. 13

THIS CHAPTER deals with "true love," not the "pink passion" kind of love. Read that chapter, pick out the key words and study them...Love "thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth." So, to "love my neighbor" is to "rejoiceth not in iniquity" (v. 6), and homosexuality is iniquity (see Lev. 18:22; 20:13).

Has today's church missed what Paul was saying in v. 6? The RSV reads: "it (law) does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right."

Actually, love-Christ's love, is a "MILITANT" KIND OF LOVE; Christian love is, or it should be, engaged in aggressive war against iniquities and engaged in aggressive war for the redemption of souls.

Moffatt translates v. 6 as: "always eager to believe the best" (or truth). This is the "mark," not of the Beast!, but of the Christian (a magnanimous spirit).

The GLBTQ crowd accuses me of "not showing love." This is not true. Love is showing a person/persons out of evil/iniquity...not sealing them there by calling darkness love, tolerance, and compassion. "Loving your neighbor" is not letting them PERISH. Jesus' love for the sinner was to set the right standard, which He did. He never promoted sin of any kind. Those who engage in producing "flesh-works" (like today's apostate church) see nothing wrong with GLBTQ activities. when I was horribly LOST, someone presented me with the way out: Christ! I accepted and have served him going on 45 years.

Works of the Flesh

PAUL'S "FLESH" in Gal. 5:13 is defined in v. 19 (in part): "...adultery, fornication (which includes homosexuality), uncleanness, lasciviousness..." all 4 of these deal with unlawful sex.

The word "fornication"= (Strong's number G4202, porneia,) (KJV; "immorality" RSV= "prostitution," but includes sexual vice and unfaithfulness to the marriage vow. The word "uncleanness" (Strong's number G167, akatharsía, "impurity") in the RSV= "moral impurity" (not ceremonial) of every kind. This Greek word is so often associated with sexual vice, but its broader meaning includes ALL that defiles the heart and distracts from right (eous) living.

The word "lasciviousness” (KJV), or "licentiousness" (RSV), is so often used of "lewdness" and "sensuality." More than this, its fundamental meaning is "wantonness," and its conduct marked by unrestrained violence and willfulness (both traits prevail in the GLBTQ movement).

Sins = Society's Values

SO, WE KNOW America's values by the sins promoted. Hello! who is paying any attention? The SIN of sodomy has gone so far in America that it is being celebrated (pretty close to being demanded by the U.S. government itself). This is not freedom folks, this is filth!

Where previously persons and churches were admired as good U.S. citizens because of their virtues and usefulness to society, now, today, admiration is drawn to the rich and powerful, sick and seedy-fascination with filth. Concurrent with this negative development, we have seen the erosion of hard work, honesty, and integrity. The turning

from godliness unto godlessness has been the tireless work of demonic opportunistic entrepreneurs. The government and church officials have turned from being servants to being terrorists!

The church has shifted from "Christ-centeredness" to "this- world-centeredness" as criteria for evaluating the Christian life. They are telling us that we cannot and must not continue to use the 2,000 year old book (Bible/New Testament) as a moral compass. This, in turn is powerfully shifting the horizons of values; what used to be considered “sin” is now considered "worth."

Way Back Yonder

I ANTICIPATED this shift way back in the early 1970's-the emergence of an Emergent church-along with a government bent on ridding itself of Biblical Christianity. What we have so far, is a secularized Protestant culture; but the "Protestant" will be taken out (unless Christians really and truly contend for their faith).

Promoting the "Babylon Jesus" has literally excluded the "Biblical Jesus" from America (if one adheres to the Bible, they are called "cultish"). Now with the inclusion of the mephitic GLBTQ peoples to WIDEN America's tolerance, gives rise to ferment more than ever. Is civil disobedience at hand?

FOR ALL

Thank You Miss Liberty!

"YOU'VE COME ALONG WAY, BABY!"

There has been a shift from an "ethic of self-denial" (which

characterized this society when God's Word was taken seriously), to an "ethic of self-fulfillment" which is NOW dominant. But even this is fading, for the 'powers-that-be' are at work to ENSLAVE ALL-no matter who or what they believe.

America has had it pretty good SO FAR! Wars have been fought outside this nation (for the most part), government has seemed happy enough, citizenry was safe in the "home of the brave," church, family, and State grew, and so did apathy among the Churchites. As we slept, the devil slipped in and began to steal our freedoms little-by-little. The matrix now has a death grip upon this (free?) nation. If one thinks outside the box, one is looking for, and probably will receive trouble from BIG brother.

Reveille for Revolution

THE HOUR IS late: America is in a death-grip of the "Shadow Government." We have a despot at the helm of this stinking, sinking, ship (Obama and his criminals in D.C.). "THE SOLUTION TO POLLUTION IS BLOODY REVOLUTION...THE BLOOD OF JESUS CLEANSES US OF ALL SIN." We must REPENT! The powers-that-be are fighting with a no-holds-barred, take-no-prisoners attitude. It is time, past time, to get off your lazy behinds and get to the frontlines!

The hosts of Hell are upon this land...you snooze, you lose. The powers-that-be want to enslave our very conscience ("accept the GLBTQ agenda or else!!"). Liberals share radicals' utopian agendas (which include mass murder in order to bring in "peace."

The "peace” they speak of is when all-ALL opposition, is silenced). It is time for God's people to get RADICAL...be FREE to BE RADICAL!!

Get Rid of God!

THIS HAS BEEN their goal for a long, long time. Dostoevsky once wrote: "If God does not exist, then everything is permitted." Demonize God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, the Christians, and Christianity...get rid of them all. Good luck fools. We're here, and we're not queer.

Some day Miss Liberty will sink into the waters...God and His people will stand upon the ground proclaiming FREEDOM to the captives.

Arise soldiers of God, up and out of the foxholes of death. Throw off the uniform of RELIGION and don the uniform of RIGHTEOUSNESS. There is a new sound in the land, the sound of God's true soldiers renewing their covenant, sharpening their swords making ready for the offensive. The Lord's Avant-Garde, His Holy Vanguard, is unfurling the flag of victory. The battle standard is rising up and out of the fox holes (churches) of death!!

Too long has the church of Christ (so-called) been content with making excuses for inactivity. All delays, half-hearted resolutions and half way reforms are so many triumphs for the enemies of the cross of Christ. For while they encourage each other to hope for victory, they only deceive themselves into thinking we are doing something, when in reality they are doing nothing!

Can't we see that this thing called religion --churchianity-- is causing terrible death among God's ranks, as an organic analogy, death occurs when the body stops replacing itself, any living organism must have the power to regenerate itself automatically. When the body of Christ loses it's health, it can no longer resist the sin that eats away at it. When various segments start fighting and destroying each other, we have a disorder similar to cancer or AIDS in the body. Sick and dying soldiers are not fit for active, front-lines duty, nor are the ministers (officers) fit to command the troops into the warfare. A replacement must be made and this is what our great commander, the Lord of Hosts, is doing.

The Christian who says he will try, or is only trying to cease from an evil habit by a gradual process is not more than half resolved about quitting. A full and hearty determination to quit, now, to touch not, taste not, handle not, is more than half the work of reform from any evil. Sin, like the aggressive cancer cell, and like the destroyer AIDS, will destroy us emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Why remain in the fox-holes of churchianity? How long will you hide from the enemy? Arise, take the offensive and do the duty which the Lord commands you. How can you grow in grace and knowledge with an uplifted heart of rebellion and cowardly response? No one can possibly be growing in grace, advancing a single step heavenward, while disobeying His commands. You can choose to die in your rebellion, but as for me, I am continuing to choose obedience and consequently advance.

Can't you hear the battle cry? Can't you see the gathering, the forming up of His Avante Garde? Can't you perceive the signs of the times? A new eldership is rising, a new leadership. The Lord's Spirit is stirring the hearts of men, the hearts of women, boys and girls. Souls that are captive to sin and Satan await liberation, God's mighty Liberation Army is on the horizon. As the old church whore breathes her last rebellious breath, a new, glorious Holy Tribal Nation is in the formation.

As in the days of Jeremiah the Prophet of God, so in this present dispensation of grace --rebellion has spoiled the ranks. "In this manner says Yahweh, stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls; but they (Israel) said, we will not walk in it. And I set watchmen (elders, leaders) over you, saying, listen to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, we will not listen. Therefore hear, you nations and know, o congregation, what is among them. Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not listened to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it." Jer. 6:16-19. Let us repent today of our rebellion, our stubbornness, our evil thoughts. Why die with the rebellious? Repent, reform, and join, God's Revolutionary Avante Garde.

Grace, Not Race

When Jesus Christ was about to breathe His last breath upon the cross, His final words to the world were, “It is finished!” (John 19:30). His mission was completed! His sufferings and rejection were over! He had secured redemption for ALL sinful humanity. From that moment till now, GRACE AND NOT RACE was set into motion. He opened the Kingdom doors, not to the racial Jews only, but now to every race, creed and color: but whosoever will enter through those doors, REPENTANCE and RENUNCIATION is required.

     Yes, God requires the sinner, on whom He freely bestows the blessings of the Gospel of grace, to REPENT and RENOUNCE his/her former sin-life: that is, to turn from sin and turn to God. This is obligatory, although salvation is a free gift. It is a free gift because we could never earn it; even our repentance and renunciation could never earn it — yet God requires these actions in order to receive the gift. (Every gift must be received, even natural gifts, through the requirement of reaching out the hands!) Through FAITH in what Jesus the Christ has already done for us, we receive PARDON.

     You see, Acts 4:12 tells us, “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven GIVEN AMONG MEN (ALL MEN), whereby we must (or can be) saved.” Jesus or Yeshua is the world’s Savior.

     It was because of God’s love for the LOST (John 3:16) that He provided a WAY OUT OF SIN!! “For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved” (v. 17).

     No matter what race, creed, religion, or color, Christ Jesus died and arose from the dead for us all! Hebrews 7:25 says, “Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him (Jesus) ...” But take note: He does not save anyone who does not CONFESS and REPENT from and FORSAKE sin. There is NO salvation / deliverance / security for those who deliberately refuse to comply with the requirements.

     One’s race does not count. Even for the Jew. One’s color does not count. One’s religion before salvation does not count. “GRACE, NOT RACE” is what counts.

     Jesus makes it clear that “He that rejecteth Me, and receiveth not My Words (e.g., the Jewish nation as a whole), hath one that judgeth him: the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him (or them) in the last day” (John 12:48).

  

Will You Accept Him?

Our whole mission on earth is to tell men, women, boys and girls about how to miss HELL and gain HEAVEN. Jesus Himself said, “For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost” (Matt. 18:11). He said in John 14:6, “I AM the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by (or though) Me.” Notice He said, “no man.” Therein we see NO RACISM. For He did not say, “no Jew,” or “no Greek,” or “no Ethiopian” ... but “no MAN.” That means that ANY “man” (“human”) — no matter what race or color of skin or background — can come to the Father by (or through) Jesus.

I was recently commissioned by the Lord to paint a picture of an Islamic youth about to behead a Christian in the Middle East. I named the painting “Beheaded for Christ — Revelation 20:4” (5 ft. x 4 ft.). I’ve taken the painting to the streets of Ft. Worth, Texas, as a warning to others that these types of barbaric acts against Christians will eventually spread worldwide. It’s right there in Revelation 20:4.

Trump: Divine or Devil?

— GOD’S HOLY WAR —

ON JAN. 1, 2017, God’s Spirit declared (to us) that it was time for “Holy War” against the nations of the world. The Spirit also told us that God put Donald Trump into the office of President of the United States. He said that Trump was “His choice.” That is all He said. Whereas when Obama became president in 2008, the Spirit gave a long Prophetic Word about Obama being a “Weapon of Mass Destruction” (see Prophetic Word given November 5, 2008, here on our website; see Tribal Call publication, Issue 9, 2009, where a portion of it is printed).

     What God will use Trump for is yet to be seen. We do know that the Spirit told us that God used him to “cast down Jezebel (Hillary — HELLary Clinton),” as He used Jehu in the book of the Kings (see 1 and 2 Kings). What he will use Trump for after this, He did not say.

  

Evil Against Evil

GOD NEVER DECLARED Trump to be righteous. He merely said he was “His choice.” Historically, God used the “evil” king of Assyria, calling him “the rod of Mine [GOD’s] anger, and the staff in their [Assyrians’] hand is Mine [GOD’s] indignation” (Isaiah 10:5). So also with the king of Babylon: “Nebuchadnezzar ... My servant ... against the inhabitants, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them ...” (Jeremiah 25:9). Cyrus, God’s anointed: “...whose right hand I [GOD] have holden ...” (Isaiah 45:1). Cyrus was used by God to destroy Babylon (see Jeremiah 50 and 51 where he is called God’s “battle axe and weapons of war” (51:20). Likewise, God used the Romans to destroy Israel after the Jews crucified their very own Messiah, Jesus the Christ (see Matthew 24).

     It is not a new thing for God to use “evil” men / nations to punish other “evil” men / nations. Our stand on the Trump issue is that God CHOSE him to do what needs to be done — for “good” or for “evil.”

     America has committed a sea of sins / crimes. Blood of the innocent (and guilty) runs deep! Unless this nation REPENTS, I mean really REPENTS!!!, God is going to bring Holy War upon her like never before. This is not a mere threat; this is a solemn promise.

     And, America is not the only nation that is GUILTY. I said from the get-go of my preachings and writings: GOD HAS DECLARED WW3!

     So, don’t be surprised at what you see and hear. There is a terrible WAR being waged right now for the soul of America. There are many players and many nations involved. None of us know how things will go. But we can count on the FACT that God wants men and nations to REPENT, including the backslid Church. Especially the Church.

     We’re not to put our trust in prez D. Trump or any other man, woman, or system. Don’t be drug into a phoney “patriotism,” for it has been this very thing that has grieved the Holy Spirit — IDOLATRY. God hates idolatry as well as adultery and all forms of sexual and political perversions.

     We must continue to sound the Battle Cry against all forms of crime and sin that covers this land. Continue to lift up JESUS CHRIST THE LORD, not any man, woman, or system.

     It is God’s prerogative whom He chooses to use or abuse. The sane thing for all of us to do is keep repenting and keep trying to obey the LORD.

     Don’t look for a “rapture,” my dear fellow believers, but look to “endure” and “persevere.”

Girl Scouts Can Now Earn a Sodomite Patch!!!

The organization of mama bears called “One Million Moms” is exposing another low in the moral decline of the Girl Scouts.

They quote the organization’s website:

“The Girl Scout LGBTQ+ Pride Month Celebration Fun Patch is designed for Girl Scouts of all levels and their leaders to honor LGBTQ+ history, celebrate their diverse cultures and identities of LGBTQ+ people, and acknowledge the many contributions that the LGBTQ+ community has made and continues to make across our nation. Girls and leaders have plenty of activities to choose from to earn this fun patch and we encourage Girl Scouts of all identities to participate.”

In order to earn the patch, here are some of the activities listed:

• Sketch a portrait of a member of the LGBTQ+ community who you admire.

• Make a LGBTQ+ music playlist.

• Create art that celebrates how families come in all kinds.

• Participate in No Name-Calling Week, which is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

• Attend an LGBTQ+ Pride celebration.

One Million Moms also notes that this is only a continuation of the Scouts’ moral decline. This slide began several years ago with their support of abortion, Planned Parenthood type sexual education, and other homosexual agendas.

They also point out that only 10 to 20% of the revenue from the Girl Scout cookie sales goes to the local troop. The rest goes to the Girl Scouts USA organization collected as royalty on its trademark. Some of the money then goes to support these perverted agendas.

Unfortunately, the Girl Scouts are not alone in this march to evil.

Mike De Socio is a “queer journalist” writing for the Washington Post. He covered the Boy Scout National Jamboree this summer in W. Virginia and was pleased with what he saw. Among the hundreds of tents was one, “…decorated with a canopy of LGBTQ Pride flags and a string of multicolored lights, its tables covered with bowls of rainbow bracelets, pronoun stickers and diversity patches.”

The tent must have been large because one volunteer told De Socio that there had been up to 2000 kids in the tent at once. The volunteer said:

“But it was all curiosity, and how do I help, rather than [hostility]. So it’s all been incredibly welcoming and positive.”

But the scouts have paid a price.

After admitting homosexual men into their leadership in 2015, transsexual boys in 2017, and girls in 2018, they have lost nearly half their membership. Indeed, the Jamboree was attended by about 15,000 compared to the 40,000 that showed up in 2017.

Shortly after this “openness to diversity,” the organization was hit by 80,000 claims of sexual abuse. The $2.46 billion settlement bankrupted the organization. De Socio tries to spin this to the positive by claiming that it created a shift in focus by the Scouts evidenced by a “diversity, equity, and inclusion merit badge” becoming required for Eagle Scout rank.

To demonstrate how pervasive this is in the organization, De Socio visited the tent set up for girls. There, a 19-year-old “bisexual” volunteer told him:

“I know the people that are coming through here, like trans, nonbinary youth, the queer youth, are having a great time seeing themselves represented in a space that they love so much, that is scouting.”

Fortunately, when the Boy Scouts began to fail, another organization was formed in 2014 to provide an alternative. It is called Trail Life USA and already has over 1,000 troops with an auxiliary called America Heritage Girls and a strong reputation for helping to keep the kids on the straight and narrow.

This shocking attack on the innocence of our children is further evidence that we need to get the gospel out while we still have the freedom to do it.
